Claimant says:
"On Monday, Oct. 3, 2011 I had one Mr. Cameron White give me an estimate on installing a new hot water heater. He spent about 30 minutes looking around and told me that eventhough my unit was only 2 years old, it had not been installed properly, therefore my warranty was invalid. He gave me a written estimate of total cost of replacement,@ installation of somewhere between $1,200 and $1.800 and suggested I go with electric rather than the gas which I have had for years which meant that I would have to hire an electrician to come out and make all sorts of changes at an additional charge.

I called the contractor that had done work for me before and told him I didn't have any hot water. He didn't even bother to come and look. He simply went to the hardware store, bought a part and came out and within less than 10 minutes the problem was fixed and I had hot water in 20 minutes. He also said that the unit was NOT improperly installed.

I spoke with the manager of Home Depoe and told him about this incident and said that I don't think this theving con artist deserves a job. He made copies of the business card and the estimate and gave me a store credit for my expenses. C. Morrison"
