Claimant says:
"last fall my air conditioning stopped working. in the spring i took it to a mechanic and was told that Ford sent out a e-mail telling people about a bad gasket that can mold and break up plugging up the air conditioner. These are in the 2009-2012 Escapes. I own a 2012.
I called to complain and was told that they had a program that could help but i had to apply and they could not work with a third party. I had to go through a Ford garage.
Accurate Auto quoted me $456.00 to fix. The estimate from Rapids Ford came in $4100.00 How is that even possible? Needless to say they declined to help me fix the problem. I have spent the summer driving around in a vehicle (in this very hot weather) in a Ford vehicle with only 50,000 miles and no air conditioning. This vehicle is not even paid for yet.
I have driven fords for most of my life but I am afraid i will have to go with another company if this is how they treat their customers."
