Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I had dropped off my 2010 Dodge truck on September 24, 2012 to be worked on. Dodge Chrysler was not aware of the length of time that the truck would, or would not be there because of a part being ordered, and waiting on a call from the insurance adjuster.
Dodge called on September 25, to let me know that the fuel was contaminated, I went in they showed me a cream colored substance, which was the additive I put in the tank to clear up the engine miss. I asked how much it would cost they said, $11,000.00 all 6 injectors were bad. I said if it was that bad it would have had to be towed there. They showed the water sample I asked about the filter, the said they could not get the cap off yet to show me the filter. Then they said they will remove all the injectors and call in a couple of days. The reason I brought it in was because I also could not get the cap off and I thought there was a warranty still on the truck. Then they called and said that there were only 3 bad injectors. The bill then was $3,938.89, and they still never showed me the filter or the cap that would not come off. They called me on October 5, to pickup the truck and that it was done. We then paid the bill about 3:00 in the afternoon, we just got back from a long dstance trip to and from Idaho, so I was going to clean up the truck. I had two small tool boxes in the back seat, the seats were up because if the tools boxes are not replaced correctly the seats will not go down in the proper position. I then noticed my GPS, and binoculars were gone, the truck had been ransacked through including papers from the glove compartment on the floor. I went back to Chrysler Dodge, and the service manager was gone, and the shop was closed up. A salesman said that I would need to call back on Monday and talk to Ron. Monday I went in to talk with Ron in the service dept, my wife Joan was with me. He said we have a problem it happens all the time and there is nothing that we can do for you. I told him if you have this type of problem you should warn the customer to remove their items or get better security. Then I went to Tudor APD and filed a police report. The police gave me a case # and they said there is nothing they could do right now, to check the pawn shops. The item serial number is 1FEO11972, the report case numbe 12-48180. I aske Chrysler why they would not come out with me to check out my story, and they said that it happens all the time. If there is a high theft problem in this area how come the clients are not for warned to remove their valuables from the vehichle. I had no idea that there was a problem, or that my vehichle would be there that long, and there were no signs of forced entry. How would I know or not if the last employee to deal with the vehichle secured it or not. Why should I be responsible in these circumstances, there are no warning signs posted. They said it happens all the time."
