"I have a signed contract dated March 21, 2014, with a licensed NJ contractor Mr. Daniel Meshefsky of Fix All. The contract specified the work to be completed and included a time to completion of 4 days from start to finish. Work began MARCH 26 2014. As of June 29, 2014, the work is still not done.
The contract called for two coats of paint but only one coat was applied (provable from paint purchase receipt and his own employee's admission). The painting itself is deplorable - there are paint spills on my floors, light fan fixtures, brass floor lamp, the 52 inch screen tv, step stool and even my kitchen trash bin! Some areas in 2 rooms were painted using a different paint texture look than the rest of room. When I comented about it The response well I don t have the original texture type additive so this was the best I could . I replied that I in fact do have it and showed him it was where the rest of the materials scheduled to be used was., Nothing more was said or done.. My wood floors are ruined, so many severe scratches, indentations and stains from their tools and misc contractor materials, and from my furniture being pushed around with NO floor protection/ . MY sofa and living room furniture was haphazardly moved about numerous times without their foot pads. My furniture, floors and closets,were not protected or covered in any of the 5 rooms (as I was told they would be) . As a result of this carelessness, so much of my furniture, closet clothing, pots, pans, glasses, dishes, electronics, paintings even the United States military bereavement flag enclosed in its display case was mishandled!! All my rooms had items coated with residue.! and Paint,, ! Yes drops spills etc. Fix All said not to be concerned, for he would be taking care of any and all on the floors,,he claimed he uses Murphy oil for these kinds of problems. if that wouldn t do well enough he'd have the flcors re -done. when he sends his cleaning crew in after the work is completed.. So much for those un kept promises.
All my stuff was constantly being moved back and forth solely to accomodate his insistance of doing some of the work, in each of the rooms, simutaneously without enough laborers, or clear planning. As a result, as of this filing date, not ONE of the jobs in any of the rooms is either totally finished,or without some sort of "damage" ..FIX- ALLs' interputation of respect towards me the customer, and my belongings can be best expressed through viewing the photos which show the following.... MY brand new living room carpet and its padding were SHOVED INTO A PILE and TOSSED into another room where they still remain. My stainless steel kitchen sink was used to clean paint brushes and now has scratches and paint stains which can not be removed. My wooden kitchen table has scratches and gouges from paint cans which were stored on the table. My wood hutch is embedded with misc debris for it also was never covered. In addition two pieces from my living room were placed outdoors at the beginning of work and have remained there through rain and snow!!! The bathroom has not been completed, it offers the best example of the worst kind of un professionalism,.. the work which was done, was done incorrect, and with contempt. This is visible in the manner in which the silicone sealant was applied photos will show how GLOBS of the stuff was haphazzardly squirted leaving actual Balls on the new faucet, (which didn' t require ANY) as well as the wall tiling and light swicth outlet? who does that?? (outlet was no where any exposure to water). Another disturbing fact was in my discovery of the 7 Door replacement...this is such a CLEAR case of switch and bait, plus the insistant lie about it that I was embarrassed for Mr. Meshefsky..The contrat stipulated that 7 of my heavy wood doors should be removed ":because accordung to him " no one wants " painted over" doors whether their wood or not... therefore Fix All suggests replaceing them with the " newer look construction 6 panel door style" so,,, instead Mr Meshefsky decides to install previously hung ( with the former hinge indentations still visible, and they required to be repainted since they were after all previously someone elses" What was the thinking?? Could it have been, "SHE", won't know,,, ????But I did..... These are just some of the exa ples of the situations and problems, I unfortunately have had to under go., Maybee Daniel Meshefsky is a "means well type of guy, he shoulde not run his own business..Much of this could have been avoided if for instance he did as the customer asked... , Although I asked that he complete the work one room at a time, he went right on, and worked on all 5 rooms simultaneously, taking on too much of a creating havoc for me and my dog.. I asked in advance of the start date if I should make accommodation arrangements for myself and dog I indicated that I was under medical treatment and could not risk exposure to harmful or potentially harmful environments.. I was assured that I would be ABLE to live as normal, at home during the job,.re stating that he would be doing one area at a time and moving items as areas were finished.. instead I had to remove myself and kennel my dog for about two weeks. Incurring additional expenses unexpectedly. I spent over 500.00, .and never was able to find things I'd need to take with me due to his shoving and piling and moving my stuff, even that which I..carefully placed into labeled bins... In summary, there is still MUCH work to be done in EACH room and I have been left in such a dirty mess to clean-up,, and repairs to be done, corrections to many of the work which was done as well as the damages caused by the contractor Mr Meshefsky and the "workers" of Fix All.."
