Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"To whom it may concern,

I, Alqi Angjeli, live in Boston at the address below and I drive a 2009 Ford Escape. After an accident my car was sent in for repairs at an auto body shop that is located at 16 Winfield Street, Worcester Massachusetts. 01610 on September 12th, 2013.
I picked up my car on October 1st, 2013 at 12:15 pm. I had the impression that they did a good job and the car was fine. I am not a mechanical expert and cannot tell if something is wrong at one glance, besides the obvious dings and scratches that are easy to detect. My car seemed fine when I picked it up.
The next morning when I was driving to work, I wanted to use the sunroof which I usually use on a daily basis. I soon realized that the sunroof did not work at all. Later I took a closer look at what the auto body shop claimed they fixed. After I finished looking at the car, I was not happy with what I saw, and am now left 100% disappointed with the job they did.
The things that I found wrong with my vehicle include:
1. One part on the car was not put in place correctly and comes out of its spot.
2. The rear rim on the driver side was not replaced with a new one
3. The alignment was not done how it said on the estimate sheet
4. I believe the sunroof was replaced with another one. It does not work the same and has rust on it
5. My inspection sticker from August 31st, 2013, was attempted to be removed. Why?
6. The city sticker on the back glass of the car was attempted to be removed. Why?
7. The door does not look good and noise is coming in from outside. A detailed inspection is needed.
I called Mr. Tajar and asked him if he forgot to do any work on the car. He responded with a, “No, everything is good”.
I asked him why the sunroof doesn’t work and he said he didn’t know. He was very abrupt with his response and spoke in rude tone. He was very uncooperative and that is when I decided to get my insurance involved. This is why I called Todd Heybeck, the claims appraisal specialist.
The appraisal specialist came and did the inspection on my vehicle and had the following concerns.
Mr. Angjeli,
After the inspection of your vehicle today, I have found that the left rear wheel and left rocker molding were not replaced. The left rocker panel and quarter panel were not repaired correctly. During our discussion, I cannot verify if the alignment was done or not. I would recommend to ask the shop for an alignment printout or an invoice showing the alignment was completed. All of these items were paid to be replaced and/or repaired on the appraisal. You would need to discuss with Metohu Auto Body a solution to get this corrected.
Sincerely,
Todd Heybeck

After the inspection I took pictures of the sunroof and some other parts of the car and sent an email to claims department of my car insurance about the condition of my vehicle.
Mr. Heybeck didn’t do a proper job on addressing the situation. When I asked him to inspect the door again (because he forgot to write about the door that wasn’t replaced) he answered with the following statement:
Mr. Angjeli,
I will not be meeting you again to go over warranty issues. You need to discuss them with the shop that you have chosen or take other actions that we have discussed.
Sincerely,
Todd
I went to the Ford dealer garage on October 3rd, 2013 to have them take a look at the car. They said the sunroof needs to be fixed and some other things need work as well. They recommended that I complain to the BBR about the bad work that the shop did on my car. I believe I have the right to know what happened and why certain things don’t function well after the repairs were made.
I am filing the complaint today, November 16th, 2013. The reason for the short delay is because it took me a while to get all of the information that I needed (pictures, websites, emails, contact information etc) and it took some time when I dealt with my insurance company.

Sincerely, Alqi Angjeli
