Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I BROWSED THIS WEBSITE (WWW.TANDOORS.COM)
THE MODEL NUMBER I HAVE ORDERED IS #603 WHICH IS A 32" WIDE MOUTH AND THE BIGGEST OF THE TANDOOR OVENS MR GULATI OF GULATI INTERNATIONAL. HAS IN STORE..MR GULATI DID NOT SHIP THE ITEM PROPERLY ( WHEN HE SHIPPED THE TANDOOR OVEN HE SHOULD HAVE SPECIFIED A LIFT-GATE TO UNLOAD THE TANDOOR FROM THE SHIPPING TRUCK, WHICH HE FAILED TO DO SO AND WE HAVE TO WAIT COUPLE OF MORE DAYS TO RECEIVE THE SHIPMENT) WE OPENED THE WOODEN BOX AND ROLLED OUT THE TANDOOR OVEN, WE FOUND A HUGE PATCH INSIDE THE CLAY POT WHICH WAS NOT AT ALL APPEALING THE PATCH IS AROUND 3-4 INCHES IN DIAMETER, WE CALLED MR GULATI AND HE WAS ON A VACATION TOUR TO INDIA, WE SENT HIM A MAIL, SAYING THAT THE ITEM WHICH WE RECEIVED IS DEFECTIVE, VERY CASUALLY HE SAYS THAT HE SENT US SOME WET CEMENT AND HE TOLD US TO APPLY A COAT OF CEMENT, WHICH WE REFUSED TO DO WHAT HE SAID, WE FEEL TRAPPED WITH THIS GUY..
I ALSO ASKED ABOUT THE ADDITIONAL ACCESSORIES WHICH WERE SUPPOSE TO COME ALONG WITH THE TANDOOR OVEN WHICH I ORDERED, MR GULATI WHO IS THE SOLE OWNER OF GULATI INTERNATIONAL, SAID THAT HE WILL SEND SKEWERS, GADDI (FABRIC PAD TO PUT NAAN IN TANDOOR), BUT HE ENDED UP NOT SENDING THE GADDI AND UPON I ASKED THAT THE GADDI IS MISSING HE TOLD ME THAT IT IS MADE OUT OF FABRIC AND WE CAN MAKE IT OURSELVES...
WHEN ASKED HIM FOR THE WARRANTY HE SIMPLY AND VERY CASUALLY SAYS THAT HE ALREADY TOLD US THAT THE TANDOOR OVEN DOESNT COME WITH A WARRANTY. (HE NEVER TOLD US OR SPOKE TO US ABOUT THE WARRANTY)
MR GULATI MIGHT BE KIDDING ME, I HAVE PURCHASED AN ITEM FROM HIM WORTH OF $3250 AND HE CASUALLY SAYS THAT THERE IS NO WARRANTY?
MR GULATI SAYS (CLAY) OVEN BUT IT LOOKS LIKE CEMENT....
I HAVE ALSO MAILED HIM ABOUT THE RESOLUTION FOR THIS PROBLEM AFTER ALL THIS BUT HIS ANSWER WAS VERY COLD..."

  • Add your information herMr.Gulati refunded money for a huge patch (DAMAGED CLAY POT) when I received the item. I have the proof of the emails along with the pictures.
    I did not deny that he didn't offer us a new one, however
    He wanted me to pay additional $1500 to him and he will arrange to ship another replacement new Tandoor. Which means that he want to recover the entire amount which was paid by me originally, which includes the REFUNDED amount of $1250.00 which isn’t appropriate.
    (I AM NOT FABRICATING ANY STORIES)
    Why should we pay for a second tandoor when it was a faulty one he shipped to us in the first place. The $1250 was for the HUGE DEFECTIVE PATCH.
    We wanted a replacement. Mr. Gulati deposited $1250 in my account to cover the original damage. One week later, our chef lit the tandoor for the first time according to the instructions manual and Mr. Gulati’s instructions over the phone, and the tandoor blasted with the entire interior of the tandoor fallen apart. The equipment is not usable. It cannot prepare the breads and Kebobs. The entire oven is damaged. I then immediately sent him an email and he responded in the email (no notes in the body of the email) just in the SUBJECT FIELD he stated that HE CANNOT DO ANYTHING TO HELP US WITH THE DAMAGED EQUIPMENT HE ALSO SAID THAT WE ARE DONE WITH DEAL. I also have a history of all emails and phone conversations. I am NOT fabricating STORIES as Gulati stated in this claim. He is threatening me, his consumer about filing a lawsuit. I tried to work with him throughout this entire process but he was never willing to work with me. I confronted him that I have no room to store the damaged product. He said to do whatever, but after he got the letter about the claim, he called that he is willing to work with me. He said he is willing to send me a new tandoor but his conditions were I deposit $1500 back into his Wells Fargo account and he will send a new tandoor. I do not want to keep the damaged tandoor. I either want my full refund and he takes his faulty tandoor back, or send a replacement and I can return his original $1250 he deposited into my account for the original huge patch tandoor he sent. Keep in mind, the $1250 was not recovered because of the totally damaged product, HE PAID FOR THE MANUFACTURERS FAULT AND ACCEPTED THE FACT THAT THEY SENT US A FAULTY PRODUCT.

    I DID NOT WANT THIS HEADACHE, I ASKED MR.GULATI TO REPLACE THE ITEM, HE TOLD ME THAT HE WILL REFUND $1250 FOR THE PATCH IN THE CLAY POT AND I CAN STILL USE THE FAULTY EQUIPMENT.
    ALSO HE ACCEPTED THAT THE MANUFACTURER SENT ME A FAULTY EQUIPMENT, HE SHOULD HAVE REPLACED THE ITEM WITH THE FAULTY ONE I RECEIVED. WE ALSO ASKED MR.GULATI TO GIVE US THE MANUFACTURERS CONTACT DETAILS SINCE, HE WASN’T WILLING TO REPLACE WITH ANOTHER UNIT. (MR.GULATI SAYS THAT HE WILL SUE ME! MAY I ASK FOR WHAT? FOR ME RECEIVING A MERCHANDISE WHICH MALFUNCTIONED?
    GULATI INTERNATIONAL ISNT CAPABLE ENOUGH TO TAKE CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMER’S, WHEN THE MERCHANDISE DOESN’T PERFORM. MORE OVER HE SAYS THAT TANDOORS DO NOT COME WITH A WARRANTY. WHICH ISNT TRUE, FOR A MATTER OF FACT TANDOORS COME WITH A 6 MONTHS WARRANTY.

    *PLEASE PROVIDE ME JUSTICE* I WANT MY MONEY REFUNDED BACK, I DON’T WANT TO DEAL WITH PEOPLE WHO HAS NO (GOOD WILL) FOR THEIR CLIENTS.

Zaeqa Kabab & biryani was offered to replace the oven But she Bibi Khan Opted for money settlement agreed to take $1250 as componsation which was paid to her by depositing in her supplied Bank of America A/C ,She wants new Oven I offered her yesterday she has to return the Refunded noney and we will send her new oven,The complaint she has put up is Fabricated we supplied her model 603 there is no oven with 32'' opening ,These Tandoor concept has no warrenty from the manufacturer because Lot of heat has to apply to the Pot ,the gaddi is not on the web site we have already given her Bonus 10 Rods extra no charge ,I have proof for everything ,you will be Sued for posting a wrong complaint Gulati May 16, 2014 N/A

"I empathizr with the person that filed the complaint. If I could, I would request everyone to never buy tandoors from these guys. We bought two 36 inch tandoors for our restaurant and what was delivered was all rusted and in terrible state. Please see pictures for reference. When contacted the owner, he was extremely rude. He kept screaming throughout as if it was our fault and then asked us to put “mitti ka tael” (kerosene oil) on them, then had the audacity to tell us that he doesn’t care and we can do whatever what we want and disconnected the call. We paid our hard earned money to these crooks who just want the money for an extremely substandard product. The customer service is shameful to say the least. Sad to see such shabby and shady business ethics and such individuals and companies being in business.

We have all pictures and proof of communication about them with the owner Mr. Ranjit Singh Gulati. Stay away from this company and the owner!!!!"
