Claimant says:
"Transmission broke while traveling. Went to this shop to have work done. estimate for work was $2850. left car . went home 400 mi. to Casa Grande az. ,received a call from Hector that work was in progress had all the parts and it will cost $4950. I asked why so much he said it's a 4 wheel drive and lots of work. I never had this problem before so I called an other shop at home and was told that I was being robbed. I called back for Hector to stop work and was told the job had been completed. I rented a car to go retrieve my car and spoke to Hector. He gave me a 2 yr. warranty and picked up the tax. On the way home and reaching home I hear a noise, I took the car to a tranny shop and was told it was in the trans. and it would have to be pulled and checked out.
I don't want to return 400 miles to the person who robbed me on labor charges of $3810 to do a bad job."

  • spoke with Hector after several discussions he agreed to put in a rebuilt transmission and pay for my lodgeing while it wasdone (2 days) car is home and I will sue for labor costs
