Claimant says:
"I took my 11mos old Yorki ,for his first haircut to Absolute Grooming on 3/17/11..was never informed of the gash on his stomach area. On Friday morning 3/18/11 upon walking him he was crying.when we returned indoors I removed his harness ,and saw a hole under my dog near his front leg stomach area. I called Absolute Grooming when they opened and spoke to 2 people,including Alan(I believe his name is)who was the groomer and asked what happen to my dog. He replied he did not know anything and had he seen the hole he would have mentioned it to me and the dog would have bled etc. I informed him I was taking Mikkos to the vet and he asked if I could stop by there to see it, which I did and he said he never seen this hole,but to let him know the results so that we could work something out. I took Mikkos the Family Pet Medical Center @2750 North Federal Hwy,Ft Lauderdale,FL 33306 ..954-567-7430 . Mikkos had to have stitches and is now on antibiotics and pain pills. He is wearing a collar to protect the stitched area. On Sat.3/19/11 I returned to Absolute Grooming with a copy of the bill,explaining what took place at the vet and I should not have to pay for the 40.00 grooming and $281.78 vet bill and would like all my money back. Alan proceeded to apologize and stated his business is not doing good,and his car was repossed and he may be losing his business and is filing bankrupcy . I also explained I am not concerned with that right now, I have a dog that has stitches and a vet bill I did not ask for and this is cruelity to my animal..He gave me my 40.00 back and said he did not have the 281.78 to give me .. I asked him would he like to have us go to court? he said I could take him to court however he is filing bankrupcy and don't have the money to pay me."
