Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"On 8-14-13 I had William Lucas 740-238-2401 address of 405 Second St. PO Box 576 Bethesda Ohio 43719 and Jim Dallas 740-510-0534 Of J&B Maintenance Co. come to my home for an estimate to remove my tub and put in a 32"x 34 " shower, they were the third people that I had asked. They gave me an estimate of $1240.00, then they said they had to add a few more dollars because they didn't add enough material so I agreed to $1600.00. They started the next day.
They got the tub out and the shower put in. I had an appointment so they left the same time I did, on returning home I inspected their work.I was shocked, the top of the shower still had drywall showing and there was no corner moldings on any corners, My shower was leaking into my basement and the shower head was put in the shower in a bend, it will never be tight and hold a proper seal so that it wont leak. I have a signed contract to receive a finished shower. My flooring had a big chip in it from removing the tub, also. When I called them and told them I was not satisfied with there work, they told me they would be over to fix the leaks, they showed up days later and tried fixing it, it still leaks, they asked me to pay an additional $450 and they would finish the job because they needed more material. I refused to pay any more money, they argued with me saying they would not fix and finish what needed done until I paid the new balance. They decided to tear out a wall saying it had mold on it, then had NO material to put back in the shower to cover the hole in the floor and the pipes.I gave them my drywall I had for another project, drywall screws, and another piece of flooring to put back in place of the one they had chipped. I had to put some material in the shower to cover the dry wall so we could shower. Jim and William called their workers off the job 3 or 4 times trying to force me to pay more money. They tried to tell me my roof was leaking, so I asked Sears to come look at the roof and the work they had done, they said they didn't see any leaks and was shocked at the mess I have for a shower.I did not get a picture of the contract that I signed or the receipt but I do have them if you need a picture. In conclusion my shower sets about an inch out from the framing and you can slide your fingers into it, where they put the wall up by my door sticks out past the door molding so the door has a hard time shutting, it is my belief that nothing is done right or finished."

1. Refund: for not finishing the shower and using my material for a different project,for arguing with me,telling me they needed more money,trying to force a roof project on me that I couldn't afford,and for the stress of the arguing with me! Sep 25, 2013 $900.00
