Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"On my last visit with Dr.Lee he was injecting my back with a medication and he stated to me he had giving me many more injections because his nurse was not in the office and he wasn't able to do the acupuncture. He then left me in the room alone and closed the door. I started to get up off the exam table and I felt woozy. As I walked to the door and opened it I lost feeling in my arms and legs fell to my knee and then hit my head on the wall before blacking out. The next thing I remembered was Dr. lee and his receptionist holding me up and taking me back to the exam room and helping me onto the exam table. I told Dr Lee I had no feeling in my legs or arms and said it was due to the medication he gave me and it would wear off. he check my blood pressure and pulse and said my blood pressure was very high and my heart rate was rapid. He told me to rest, then he turned off the light and left the room. I was scared and thought why isn't he calling 911. He came in again and asked how I was feeling. I was trembling uncontrollably but started to get feeling back in my arms and legs. He had me get up and sit in a chair then his receptionist brought me in a glass of water and a pop tart. I sipped the water and took a tiny bite of the pop tart since I had had coffee and breakfast earlier prior to my office visit. I told Dr. Lee that when I fell I hurt my knees. He had me stand and walk but I was wobbly. He said I could drive home at that time. I nearly made it to my car and then as I was driving I could not focus my vision and had to pull off the road a few times. I did not have my cell phone with me so I couldn't call anyone. I knew I wasn't going to make it home and kept telling myself to try and get to a hospital. I pulled up in front of the hospital got out and told the boy who parks the cars I did not feel right. He took my car to park and I when I got to the ER I told them what happened and I was admitted to the hospital. I told them my knees hurt from the fall and they treated me with pain medications. I did not feel right for weeks, my legs and arms felt weak and I developed bruising all over my body. I had to eventually go to an orthopedic doctor because of the severe pain in my legs in which the doctor injected my knees on several occasions. I still have difficulty with my knees with
bending and standing. I missed time from work as a result of this incident. I spoke with Dr. lee's nurse after I came home from the hospital and told her what occurred at the office and explained how I was feeling. She said just keep ice on your knees and take anvil or motrin.

and standing."
