Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Hired Wayne from Hopper Construction to remodel my kitchen. He came to our house and gave us an estimate (he was referred to us by my sister in law who he does work for at New Durham estated in Michigan city) My husband asked him to give us a detailed worksheet with the work he agreed on, he kept saying he would which he didn't. He started work on our kitchen and and kept saying the things he was doing were not in the bid. Wayne and my husband exchanged words because of the shabby job he was doing. He even got paint on my new cabinets and light fixtures, He went with us to Menards and helped us pick out a locking tile. He had some boys installing my floor and asked my husband to give him some money. He was supposed to come back which he never did, my husband repeatedly called him and he would not answer his phone, the tile he installed is now cracking and we had to hire some one to remove the paint off my cabinets and floor. He still refuses to talk to my husband, we had to hire another contractor and he fixed the things that Wayne and his crew destroyed, broke, and never finished.
We also had things missing from our garage. My husband tried to resolve this with him but like i said he refused to answer his phone. We do have some pictures of the damage they did to our home, I really don't know how this man can sleep at night."
