"Did you receive the text from T-Mobile about the "phone number port out scam" before or after your phone was taken over? Or did you ignore it (not unreasonably) assuming it was fraudulent? Did T-Mobile contact you in any other way to alert you to the problem? Have you reported the fraud to your bank and to the police?"

Claimant: ():
"I was never notified by T-Mobile about the port out scam issues they have been having. It wasn't until the after the fact that they suggested establishing a 6 digit PIN code to protect my phone port from being hacked again. My bank was notified and a resolution with my bank has been settled but T-Mobile has done nothing to resolve this matter or even extended an apology. Their excuse is that this was out of their control as it has been happening with all other cell phone companies and not just theirs."

Report to bank, local police, FBI, Secret Service and Attorney General. T-Mobile should fully cooperate with investigation and give you 6 months free service as well as making good on any losses due to negligence in mandating two factor authentication.
