    "This is the email response I sent to Barbara and her son in-law James on Sept 21st:

    James,
    I have received your letter and will take it under advisement. I can only wonder why you did not attempt to call about these issues?

    Friday I was out of phone range as I had a couple of appointments in Oceanside where there is no cell phone coverage. I understand you reached Brad (the emergency number left on the office phone) and he gave you the code. I also drove out to the house yesterday afternoon to check on everyone to make sure you were OK, but did not find you at home.

    To address your concerns:
    The last guest we had was over the Labor Day weekend and the home was cleaned that week, so I apologize if there was a bit of dust.

    Carpet/Walls, etc. This is September after a busy summer season. Normal turnarounds include all appliances, floors, surfaces, fresh linens, etc. A deep clean is done in the "quiet" season when things slow down.

    TV - Yes, the TV is in the Master Bdrm where is has always been.

    Brackets: I will check on the brackets you mentioned and appreciate you mentioning this.

    The Sliding doors are scheduled to be replaced in October.

    Wood Ants - I did not see any when I was there this evening but will have an exterminator out to the house to do an inspection.

    I would have appreciated a phone call from you today before you left. I would have done everything possible to remedy your situation so that you could have enjoyed your vacation. I was in the office until 11:30 and then could be reached by cell phone the rest of the day.

    Again as I said, I will take this under advisement and be in touch.

    James and Barbara,
    I received a copy of your complaint from Peopleclaim today. This is the letter I sent previously in Response to you as well as the letters of an outside cleaning company and an exterminator.

    There were some noticeable things that did not seem to line up:
    1. You stayed for 2 days and then decided to move out? By staying that signifies an acceptance of the agreement. If the home was unsatisfactory, you should have left immediately.

    2. You never called me to complain or show me the alleged complaints. I am not able to respond to something I know nothing about!

    These additional companies were called so that both of us could have an objective professional in these areas give their honest opinion. They are attached in a following email.

    Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    They could not reach me when they first arrived because I too was in Oceanside and there is NO cell phone service out there. They did call Brad, my associate, who's phone number is given for emergencies and he gave them the code. They checked in 1/2 hr after normal check in time.

    Weather: We were having one of our coastal storms that weekend. It was raining hard and the wind was blowing at a pretty good pace too! If a few leaves were tracked into the house, that may have been the reason. I would be happy to forward the two inspections I received from the exterminator and from a cleaning service as well. No refund will be given. "
