Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I went on line to find a moving and storage company.  I spooke with Mr. Husanow on  aroung 09/15/20.
I told him I have 4 bedroom single family home.  At that time  we set a price  and date for 09/25/20. The iems were taken   to an storage unit  and they were there for about 6 months. We were waiing for home   
to come through. April 14,2021 the realtor called and told us that the house was  ready. We try   to get the same company  to  move us back to the new  house ,they would not take the call. We when  out to   the unit , which were two units. the furniture was all over all the new furniture we just brought  damaged. I called back in to Mr. Husanov to let hime know  what happen to the items with pctures    he mention send me the pictures of everything  and I will   have everything fit for you. Two weeks later Master Home Building Inspections,LLC  Mr. Donald A Masters 202-455-4696. Mr. Masters  came out twice. He could not  do anything.   
The items that Mr. Husanov   should tae care of is the new furniture.
1.       King  Bed - Head and foot  part of the bed damaged
2 .      Chest drawers     {2}damaged
3.        Queen bed   Head and foot  very damaged                          
4.        Chest dresser and damaged 
5 .       Kitchen table the top was brokken off 
6.        Living room the fabriic was pulled off
7.        Long wood dinning room table broken in have  ( big chunk of wood was pulled out of it .
                                                                                                                                                 
I do not know what Mr Husanov think we are going to do with furniture like that.
I know we can not get what the furnitures is asking price at this time the furniture is less  then 6 month 
old.      "

  • We moved Ms. Queen's belonging on 9/30/2020 from a four bedroom single family home into a storage unit.

    As is our general practice after each move, our foreman did a walkthrough of the moved belongings with the customer, and Ms. Queen signed a delivery acknowledgement form stating "The above services by Carrier (Name Your Price Movers) were rendered and all merchandise, goods, and items were delivered and received in good condition".

    This practice was put into place so we can catch any issues during the move. It's our policy to make right any mistakes we make during the moving process, and we handle the claims swiftly.

    On 4/16/2021, Ms. Queen contacted us stating that while she was moving her belongings out of storage she noticed damage and that we should be held liable. Please note Ms. Queen elected to not use our services to move her belongings out of storage.

    While we don't believe we are liable for the damage, moving is stressful and we try to do what we can for our customers to alleviate their stress. We sent a contractor at our expense to see if he could fix the damage. When he could not, Ms. Queen created this PeopleClaim complaint.

    After seeing the complaint, we attempted multiple times to get in touch with Ms. Queen over the phone to discuss. Ms. Queen never picked up our calls multiple days in a row even when we scheduled those calls in advance.

    We believe we've gone above and beyond what is required in a situation like this. We're considering this matter closed.
