Claimant says:
"I had a deck put on my house in 2009. The deck is 48 feet wide by 16 feet long. I ordered "lifetime" decking from Home Depot in Hilltown, P.A. The decking was installed in late '08' to early '09'. Within 14 months the decking split longways, warped, and expanded to the point that shoes have to be worn on it. I contacted the store and they got me in contact with the representative of the company. This company has million dollar judgments against them for the bad material. The cost to remove, replace, and dispose of the material are as follows: $6500.00 (material), $7200.00 (labor R+R), and $1000.00(dumpsters). The Biewer lumber company has sent a letter offering $6500.00 to cover the material for this job. I contacted Home Depot and told them that I was not satisfied with this amount. They basically laughed at me. I just want them to cover the cost of removing and replacing the faulty material that they sold me initially. I want nothing extra.
I just want to be able to enjoy the $15,000 deck that I had installed!!"
