Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Paid for a partial dental apparatus that is flawed, uncomfortable and cannot be worn. Tried to resolve the issue to no avail. I had cancelled one appointment due to illness and rescheduled. I showed up at my scheduled time only to learn the office manager (who would not reveal her name) had neglected to put me on the books. No apology given. She stated that I could wait with the hope that when the technician arrived, which was an hour or more, I might be able to be seen. I left very disappointed. Called a few days later to try to reschedule AGAIN only to receive a unnecessary lecture on HIPA standards as my fiance tried to book the appointment. I have worked in the medical field for 25 years and know them well. She was not only WRONG but inappropriate and rude. After at least five minutes I got angry and just requested that she book the damn appointment! She hung up. I called back and asked to leave a message with the doctor who never returned my
call. I am requesting my money back for the item that I cannot use and make other patients aware of this INCOMPETENT OFFICE. Thank you, Jenine M. Angius"

  • After my my dissatisfaction with the unprofessional and rude interaction with the office manger I left two messages requesting that Dr. Westfall call me to discuss my concerns. He did not return my phone calls which I did not appreciate. I called a third time and did take the call. I inquired if he had received my messages to which he replied "yes but he had prior engagements. He should have notified me of this and set up a time for us to us have a conversation instead of blowing me off! I asked for the office managers name as I planned to file a complaint at which point he refused. I replied "in that case, I will use her title." His reply was "alright" and that was the extent of the conversation. He was not interested in what I was upset about or offer any apology. I did finally receive a phone call 11/04/2013 after he had gotten the complaint through your organization and said he could not understand why I felt I needed to go this route. He seemed a bit agitated. I was shocked as I had just told him last week that I was going to proceed in this manner? He offered no resolution nor did he wish to know why I was so unhappy which I felt filing a complaint was my ONLY OPTION. He told me he was going to back his office manager without even hearing me? Pathetic!!! He also stated he would not release my records due to HIPA standards, which I do fully understand, so I will go to his office and obtain them myself. He also stated that he had planned to write to the Board of Dental Association. I plan to do the same. His practice and employee's are SUBSTANDARD and my hope is that no other patient has to endure this most unfortunate experience that I did.
