Claimant says:
"He put a new roof on in 2012 and now I have leaks. I've contacted him he came out and looked at it and said he would get back with me, he never did. I have called him at least 3x and left him messages, he has never returned my calls. At the time he did the job the house was in my mother's estate, I have since bought the house. When I talked to Dave Scarberry his comment was " we didn't know that some of the family was going to buy the house so we did the job as cheap as we could." The nails are backing out of the roof and now I have leaks where part of the roof is flat and should have a rubber roof, he also has told me the same thing but failed to do so."

  • This was an insurance job done in 2011 for the previous owners with a four year warranty ending in 2015. Insurance only paid for shingles and did not approve my recommendation of rubber roofing. Previous owners agreed to only what insurance would pay for. There has also been other work done on the roof, which would void the warranty if it was still in effect. I would also like to add that the four year labor warranty is nontransferable. When you said the roof was leaking we came and looked at it and advised you to put a rubber roof on it. There's nothing else we could have done.
