Claimant says:
"On June 18, 2015, I loaned Matthew Lang of Fort Lauderdale, FL (operating as The Plant Boat, now known as The Plant Guy) a total of $3,305.00 to assist with the purchase of a new van and other business-related expenses. This loan was made in good faith, based on our friendship and Matthew's verbal and written assurances to repay the amount. We were both sober and fully aware of the terms.

When the original loan went unpaid, Matthew signed a Promissory Note on January 11, 2016, which formalized a repayment schedule and specified a 12% annual interest rate, retroactive to June 30, 2015. Although he made occasional payments over the years, totaling less than the amount owed, he failed to adhere to the agreed-upon terms.

As of July 28, 2025, after accounting for all payments made and accrued interest, the remaining balance is $6,173.66. I have complete documentation including the original payment receipt, signed Promissory Note, a ledger of repayment activity, and supporting text message correspondence.

Matthew's business, now operating successfully under the name "The Plant Guy," is thriving. I am simply requesting that he honor his longstanding commitment and repay the debt in full."
