Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I applied for a reverse mortgage, the appraiser they used undervalued my house by $40,000 dollars. I spent approximately $600 dollars on the apraisal and a lawyer's letter that they needed. I have the documentation to prove the real value of my home. Due to their negligence I was not able to get the reverse mortgaqge. On several occasions I asked the mortgage professional to send me my copy of the appraisal so I could have their appraiser.s license revoked in the state of Texas where I live. I plan on filing a civil suit against all parties involved but it seems generation mortgage just keeps ignoring my requests. Also let me state that I called constsntly and e-mailed the professional and never had any of my messages returned or have someone from their office contact me and keep me updated."

  • First of all let me state that I am not affiliated with, nor do I know anyone at Generation Mortgage.
    I am a loan officer with over 20 years experience, who has been granted license to originate loans in 10 of our United States of America. The reason that I am writing, is to state that I cannot understand why so many people who are unhappy with the current "market value" of their homes, find it appropriate to go online and bash the loan companies that are working for them on a contingency basis (meaning that they are only going to get paid for all of the work that they do, if and when the loan closes.) By law we do not have any influence over what the licensed, independent appraiser presents as their professional opinion of the current market value of a property, nor do we in any way, shape or form profit from the appraisal fee which is paid (as required by law) to a 3rd party appraisal management company.
    If this complainant possess information on valid comparable sales that the appraiser was unaware of when establishing the market value of the home, they should provide them to the appraiser.
    By the way if you find an attorney (who I see you have also requested "contingency fee" work from) who will talk to you, they most likely will tell you that the first thing that one should do when being threatened by a lawsuit is to say nothing... (My brother is an attorney, and I can assure you that he will not be contacting you)...
