Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Verizon Wireless falsely advertises that Verizon provides the best cellular service in the world. I had a much different experience.
I purchased a device from Verizon on June 27, 2013. I did not receive the promised service from Verizon.
I made several phone calls to complain to Verizon about deceptive and abusive billing, poor customer service and poor call quality including dropped calls, static, echoing and unintelligible conversation. I was unable to use the device as a phone.
As a result, Verizon instructed me to “get off of our network as soon as possible” and return the device to store where purchased for a full refund. I did.
I left the Verizon network on September 25, 2013 and attempted to return their defective device on September 30, 2013. However, the Verizon store manager refused to accept the return when I went to the store.
I also sent five written letters to Verizon. Verizon ignored my letters. Verizon has stalled and delayed for over nine months and now claims it is too late to accept the return.
The refund of the return exceeds the amount Verizon now claims I owe for services Verizon promised but failed to deliver.
I did as Verizon instructed. I left the Verizon network as Verizon requested. I attempted to return the device as Verizon requested.
Verizon was unable to deliver the service promised or bill as promised.
Verizon chose not to honor the agreement of return.
Verizon decided to attack my credit instead.
Verizon has hired three debt collection agencies to harass me. Each one has dropped the claim after I sent a written dispute of the charges. Each time Verizon just hires another debt collector.
I would like a refund of $266.85 as promised from Verizon.
I would like Verizon to repair the fraudulent damage they have done to my credit."
