Claimant says:
"I live at 401 E 34th St. New York, NY in The Rivergate building and on Monday, March 17, I put my laundry in a dryer that was apparently broken. While I was gone, a service technician from SEBCO came to fix the dryer and must have turned it back on, on HIGH. The items in the dryer were delicates and had originally been set to the "low" setting. All of the clothes, valued at over $1,000 in total, came out burned and melted and are completely unusable. 2 days after the incident, all of the machines in that laundry room were removed. I have contacted my building management as well as SEBCO directly multiple times to obtain the dryer number so that I can file a proper claim with SEBCO and/or my renters insurance company and I have been run in circles. No one will respond to my questions or give me the information that I need."

    After receiving your email, I immediately looked into the matter. Our service department has no record of Ms. Ishman contacting our company on March 17 or any time within days thereafter. We also have no service requests at that time with regard to an overheating dryer. I then called and have spoken to Ms. Ishman several times in an attempt to address her claim and learned that she needed some information to process an insurance claim about some damaged clothes.

    SEBCO’s laundry equipment is part of an unattended laundry facility in Ms. Ishman’s building. Ms. Ishman said that her clothes were overheated in our dryer. She told me that she left her clothes unattended in the dryer during the cycle and then left them in the dryer overnight and that she had a building staff member looking after the clothes.

    I understand that she is upset and we would like to help her if we can.
    If I can be of further assistance, please let me know.
