Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"In early October this year, I contacted Sears regarding three insulated windows needing repair or replacement. One insulated window actually had ice formed on its inside last year. A technician arrived here on Oct. 22 and repaired one widow and left with broken parts from the second window. The charge for his visit was $100.00 Several weeks later, he returned with the new parts and repaired the second window. I showed him photos of the heavy moisture on the third and one other window and he took pictures of these photos. Since then, despite repeated calls to Sears Home Improvement, we have had no response regarding replacement of these windows. On sub- freezing days, they continues to produce about three inches of moisture on both the lower and upper glass of this double hung window. The electric heat turns on frequently to compensate for the lower temperature in the room caused by these defective insulated windows.
It is now more than three months since in I first reported the problem with this window. In the past few years, problems with windows have been taken care of in a reasonably amount of time. Not so this year!
