Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"My problem with hughes net is that that charged my credit card in the amount of $118 on June 06,2016 this transaction wasn't approved by me. I call them to speak about my questions and concerns were i was rudely dealt with by one of there repersenatives. she begin to try amd explain to me that i authorized the automatic payment back in october of 2015. I then explained to her that if that was the case then they wouldnt have received the payment. because the visa card i started my account with them was no longer vaild. she said sir the last time we spoke was on january 6 2016 and you jojn welch authorized us to set up auto pay with your american express. that was also not true being i didnt start my american express avvpunt until the end of febuary 2016. she then said i see were you went online and mad a "one time payment" with the american express that was set up for auto pay back in january. i said maybe you did hear. me I DIDNT OPEN THE AMERICAN EXPRESS UNTIL FEBUARY OF 2016! she said sir im sorry theres nothong i can do being you authorized the payment by phone when we called you on june 05 2016 so i said what number did you call she said 706 461 9674 i asked if that was the only number on my file she said yes so i began to tell her that also wasnt possible being i changed my cell phone carrier in febuary. meaning my number had also be changed and you also just told me the last contact we had was in january but now we had cpntact in june also? i asked to be be transfeered to her mannager . after waiting on hold for 10 15 mimites he comes on the line . he asked how he could help so i told him the same thing i told the representative. he began to act and traet as if i were lying to him. he stated that my account showwed that i set up auto oay with american xpress back in october 2015. i told him how that couldnt happen being my new card hadnt been open since october o just started this account back in febuary. he said thats not possible shows here it was started in october. he said i can refund the money to your account id you would like. i said most certainly i was put on hold for a dew monutes. he came back on the line and said im sorry sir but i cant give you a refund for a payment you agreeed upon when we contaced on the 461 number on jine 5 2016 i told him i havent had that number for months so how you could you have called and spoke with me. he said sir have you ever made a one time payment with this american express card i repted and said yes i made a one time payment he said can you show me how you did that since we dont offer a one time payment option which i have pictures of the one tine payment page. he aais your account was locked back in april for non payment but my online accpunt say active and paid i asked how did you come up with the 118 i owed you he smaid that was the 61.58 you owed us and the rest was a late fee charge. my payment wasnt due until the 8 eighth of the month he said i apoligize i told you wrong the 118 eas from two unpaied months i asked does my hughes net dishboard clearly dated the times and date and amount for feb march and april werw paid and no balance left. he said sir im sorry you authorized the payment i cant do anhyhing. i asked so when i take you to court and sue for $3000 because of the way i was treated like an amial called a liar and finacilly took food out of my kids mouth with out authorizing it. i asked if the information he had given me was what would be his fight in court he said yes i think so. he also said our entire concersation had been recorded ans they would use the recording. i laughed. at this point i just hung up.This company be littled me as a coustmer lied to me about there process made me oit to be a liar and refused to work with me in amyway there for im sueing them."

  • Since i have sent this claim my debit card has been charged again. I called and was treated horribly as if it were my fault. I asked for a refund to be credited to my card they refused to help me in anyway other than removing my card they illegally set up for auto pay. however they wouldn't remove it until i provide a different card to replace it with. i was hung up on twice by the actual supervisor "Jay" due to wanting to speak to his manager. this is the worst company ive ever had to deal with the coustomer service is horrible. they continue to tell me one thing then by the end of the conversation they don't offer or do anything such as that. very very unprofessional. i continue to listen to the phone recording and find something new that they have lied about each time.
