Claimant says:
"They will not close the account. They keep you on hold for over an hour, they will let me upgrade the account, but because my husband opened the account they wil not close it. He works for Riverside county and does not have the time to sit on hold for that amount of time. As I stated they will let me up-grade the accoununt but not close! Makes no sense, they just want the money."

  • Have you considered having your husband write a written request for termination of service? I would have him draft a certified letter requesting termination of service, indicating a date of termination (be specific, don't say "immediately") as well as written confirmation that the service has been terminated. I looked on the HughesNet website and it looks like you may have used Kittronics/RadioShack of Warrenton as a local dealer. Are they able to help you with the cancellation? Perhaps they have some additional contact information for you. Best of luck in resolving this claim.
