Claimant says:
"I was sold a new phone over the phone by Verizon. The young lady was very pleasant and therefore sold me Several items on the understanding the new items costs would be split over a couple of billings. She also said she would track my phone delivery and call me to help set it up, she gave me an email address to contact.
I never received the call to help set up and the email address she gave me would not go through. When my monthly bill came I was shocked at the amount, the payments were not in place. I therefore phoned Verizon and discussed this at length. The young lady said she would rectify the problem and I made a payment over the phone in the amount she requested. This was Dec 9th-payment was due Dec 13th. I noted that she said the amount would remain around the same for the next 6 months.
Fast forward now to my current bill due Jan 13th. I am being told I have an outstanding balance and a late fee! Yesterday I spent 3 hours! on the phone with Verizon and got shunted from pillar to post, repeating my story to 5 or 6 people and resolving nothing.
I was in tears by the end of it. I work a 12 hour day and don't have time for this.
I think this is an appalling way to do business and was met with very condescending people who would not even listen, and could not seem to comprehend why I was upset or the issue. I was passed around amongst them each stating it was anothers area and then being passed from one dept. to another and back again-never speaking to the same person twice.
I am beyond frustrated and as a long term Verizon customer am disgusted with the treatment."
