Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"On 12/12/2012 I purchased a car charger for my daughter's cell phone as a gift for Christmas. As it turned out she had already purchased one herself. On the day after Christmas I went into surgery for a hip replacement. I can not drive for six weeks. On 01/24/2013 I asked my sister, visiting from California, to return the unopened item, with the reciept, for me. They refused, stating their return policy expired on the 01/15/2013. Under the circumstances, I feel they should make an exception."

  • While it is understandable your frustration with this, it may be that the store couldn’t actually process the return, because of the guidelines in place by the company itself. Because local stores only have the authority to do what the company allows them to do, perhaps speaking to someone with more decision making power could be of assistance to you. Because you would want a record of your attempt to reach a resolution, maybe writing a letter to the corporate headquarters, outlining your situation, and sent certified so you can make sure if is received could be of some help to you, and assist you in getting a resolution you could be satisfied with.
