Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"In June of 2011, I responded to an email ad from True North Payment Systems about partnering with them and investing in their merchant account business. About four days later, I received a call from one of their representatives who told me how lucrative this business is. I could receive commissions from every credit card transaction. First I needed to pay a small fee of $38.00, which I did. I was told someone would call me to give me more information, and someone did but I don't remember the man's name. He told me I needed to sell merchant accounts myself and that I would get some training. A date and time was set for the training. I did not receive the training. About a couple weeks later, a representative called me, wanting to know why I haven't made any sales. I told him, I did not get training and I have no sales experience. He told me someone would call me to go over the business with me. About a week later, someone else called me and kept me on the phone for almost two hours trying to convince me to invest $2,500.00. I refused. As I recall, he hung up on me. Then, Joseph Corey, another representative, called me. He asked me if I could invest $1,200.00. and I refused. He kept insisting that I would not be sorry and that he has helped alot of other people who were hesitant like me, but were very pleased they took action. He mentioned one lady in particular who thanked him everyday in the form of cards and flowers. I asked him the lady's name and if I could call her? He said no as that would be a violation of her privacy. Finally he said, I should think it over and he would check back with me. The following week, Joseph Corey called, asking if I would invest $1000.00, finally I invested $750.00, Mr. Corey said he would handle everything for me. The investment was made on September 6,2011. Two weeks later, I tried to contact Mr. Corey, I was told he had quit and that I should contact James at James@tnbventures.net, which I did. I did not get any straight answers from James pertaining to my investment. I had to face the facts, I was scammed."

  • Not only was I deceived but I was harrassed. Salesmen calling me on several occassions, asking me to invest various amounts of money. They did not stop calling until I invested. Mr. Joseph Corey, finally convinced me that investing was a wise decision for my future and so I trusted him. I found out how it feels to be kicked when you're down. If my claim is not resolved to my liking by March 13, 2013, I will not hesitate to use every method available to me for the recovery of my losses.
