"After first checking "ConsumerGuides"I downloaded Speedy PC Pro.
I was not experiencing any computer problems at all, but was repeatedly getting notifications from various computer services, one even by phone, telling me that my computer had a virus. I thought that at least I should sign up for the registry cleaner. Once I did this through Speedy PC Pro for $39.94. The tech requested remote access to my computer, installed the Registry cleaner than ran a scan showing me that my computer had thousands or errors & he began a hard sell for a $250 plus additional $19.99 a month service to completely service my computer. I could buy a new computer for much less. After telling him that I couldn't as I was currently unemployed & repeating that despite what his scan indicated- I was not experiencing even one computer issue. After finally getting off the phone I started to use my computer - however now I could not open/access any of my "Favorites" files. I called back - told them that this problem did not exist until after this tech from Speedy PC Pro had remote access of my computer - they again began with the hard sell. Than they offered to "fix" my problem for $250 plus, and than finally lowered it to $150. So I was forced to give them an extra $150 just to get the computer back to the way it was operating before I granted them remote access to my computer. I believe they created my computer issue and that this was a complete SCAM. I would ideally like my $215 back ($150 to fix a problem that they created + $39.94 for the Registry service), plus the fee I needed to pay to file this claim- but at the very least the extra $150 back that I was rather black mailed into giving to them. This SCAM must be stopped. Speedy PC Pro took my money plus wasted several hours of my day."

  • Speedy PC Pro refunded the $150, but never the fees necessary (utilizing People Claim) to get that $150 back ..... which the $150 was essentially a black mail fee to begin with, for the damage done by their initial Registry Service - which was also never refunded.
