Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Horrible experience with this company: July 26 2012 went into sleekspa for consultation regarding wanting an aggresive treatment for open facial pores and acne, met with representative Trudy Dennehy and after consultation came to conclusion that package of 6 chemical peels for $700.00 leading to tca , then actual tca would cost me $525.00 total package worth 1175.00 would be best route for my goal to improve my face condition, I expressed concern that the purchasing of this package would also be contingent on set appointments because of my job requirements of needing to request time off a month in advanced, and was promised wouldn't be an issue. Received the following chemical peels which I must add the technician was very good: on 8/11/12, 8/18/12, 8/25/12. Was scheduled for 9/6/12 but when i got to office was told that this was a mistake, needed to have a week off from any treatments for tca which was scheduled for 9/12/12 so at this point was asked if I wanted to put anything towards my balance so I paid with my credit card 390.00 leaving a balance of 245.00. On Sunday sept 9, 2012 get a call at aproximately 2.45pm from office manager stating that the company is closed and therefore I have to contact their West Roxbury location to reschedule! At that point I was so upset because all my work schedule was rearranged, I had practically paid for whole treatment without receiving services. I called the West roxbury location I received multiple hangups, then I would get an answering service which took numerous messages from me with absolutely no return calls from them. Then finally on monday the 10th I speak to a Heather at the alternate site which tells me Only available slot for wed the 12th is at 2pm, so I'm thinking great I'm receiving my tca... wed at aprox 1pm I get a message from Lee at West Roxbury location stating your 2pm appt is cancelled due to West Roxbury site also now closed! I call West Roxbury number and leave message for answering service to have someone return my call but in meantime I was near their location and office door locked, but there was one girl at office and I went in and asked her what was going on. She informed me that suddenly their office was informed they were no longer in business, and employees were let go, and that hopefully on friday a new company may take over but unsure, asked her but what about the customers that are owed service and treatments? She replied I'm not sure but maybe in 3 to 4 weeks, maybe will receive refund but not sure. I never received a call back from anyone, and basically was robbed. As I was getting ready to leave another girl was there very upset have paid 4000.00 for hair removal service with lifetime package and was told by office rep she may not be entitled to a refund! The answering service is very vague and will not give you information as to who to contact to resolve issue. If there's anyone that has info on how to get my money that I'm owed it would greatly be appreciated. And I'm sure that other customers many will also file complaints, and lawsuits."

  • First of all if you reread my complaint you will realize that I did not breach your sales contract, your management did by poor customer service practices and by having no communication with customers, your answering service was horrible infact of all the messages i have left... Im still waiting for a call back... Im not an unreasonable person but I think if I was to turn the tables and you were in my shoes you would be outraged. Today I took it upon myself to investigate if you guys were brought by other company at the 6173181110 number and confirmed that they did they have my records, and again left my name and number and to no surprise no return call. So with this said, you are doing me no favors for offering me additional treatments, I already went and spent more money with another firm which so far Im happy with, why did I go somewhere else? cause of the unprofessionalism from your firm. I will never feel comfortable being exposed to a service from your firm. My face was not even prepped appropriately for the tca according to the professional I went to. I would greatly appreciate it if I can have a refund of services not provided , I have calculated that I will be satisfied with refund of 700.00 cash to settle services not rendered, and lost time from work, so please re evaluate your response because I dont need to be punished for this mess. Im not interested in additional treatments. Thank you

  • The roxbury location was abandoned when i got there one employee was packing because again you closed and took all the customers money without telling anyone you were closing. The right thing to do is refund all the customers money, you guys know you did not honor the contracts

The claimant's settlement terms were rejected with the following explanation:
  • "All sales are final as stated in the invoice contract signed by Myrna Pineda. SLEEK Surgical and MedSpa will be more than happy to complete the services at our West Roxbury location 1208 B VFW Parkway, suite 305(3rd floor) West Roxbury, MA 02132. After completion of Myrna Pineda's package we would be more than happy to extend additional treatments of her choice in a value of $500 for any inconvenience this has caused. We sincerely apologize and look forward to seeing you soon."
