"Please stop this scam. It is internet fraud and possibly mail fraud. The person who cashes the bogus Cashier's Check will be liable to the bank for the full amount of the check. Mine is for $3,789.00. I was suspicious and did not cash the check, but many have.
I have all the e-mails, Cashier's Check (uncashed), Fed Ex
Envelope (Tracking No. 8604 3542 4630) name of recipient, name of Secret Shopper rep: Denis Green.
I took many hours researching and reporting this crime."

  • 01-18-2011 — After receiving e-mail that I was accepted as a Secret Shopper, I was sent my first assignment: to evaluate Western Union. I received a Cashier's Check for $3,789.00 and was to cash it at my bank, deduct a fee of $170 and send balance to a third party. Thus, exchanging a bogus check for cash and sending it to "someone else" leaving you responsible for the full amount of the check when the check bounces.

  • I just received something similar to it today. The name of the guy I am dealing with is a so called Gordon Pruitt. My check is for 4800 usd and I was supposed to deduct $600..funny thing is the name of the recipient in Philadelphia (just like yours) is Larrot Henry. Also I replied to his e-mail asking for more information and got a very sketchy phone call from "Mr. Pruitt" who could barely speak english supposedly and was really busy. It actually sounded like a voice being disguised. Obviously I have not cashed this check.
