Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I am a New Jersey resident and was vacationing in North Carolina and decided to book the Ramada in Williamsburg for one night. After checking in I went in my room with my infant daughter and then left for the local amusement park. After coming back to sleep I used my key and found it was not opening the door and another family was given then room. After talking to a "manager" Maurice I was told he would accommodate my family with a suite. After following him into the room he pulled out a couch and threw a wrinkled sheet on it and said this was all he could offer me because he was booked. Even though my reservation was from 3 days prior he said that meant nothing to him. His name is Maurice and was nothing but rude and ignorant in every way possible. I tried calling corporate and was disconnected. I cannot explain how helpless it feels to have an infant 5 hours away from home and have to call multiple hotels trying to find a room to put my daughter to bed. I really would like this company to give some form of compensation for this unnecessary stress and aggravation."
