Claimant says:
"We signed a contract with Kevin Elliott of Pittsburgh Exteriors on 4-12-2013 for kitchen refacing/remodeling for $8595.00. We gave 1st payment at that time $2865.00 with job to start in 3-4 weeks. Job was to take one week to complete. On 5-16-13 we were told job couldn't be done for that price it would be $3500.00 more. Kevin stated the doors I chose were more money. My husband felt the original contract should have been honored, but I chose other doors. They were not able to give us a start date at that time. Several phone calls later they said start date is 8-12-13 or 8-19-13.Those dates came and went with out job being started or a phone call from Pgh. Ext. We then called and were told those were just tentative start dates. Finally job started on 11-12-13 we were not happy with the work done on that day. Kevin Elliott came to the house 11-13-13 agreed work was poor. New installer started 11-19-13 and second payment given $3,600.00. We were given $700.00 discount and gave final payment of $2535.00 on 12-22-13. The job was not completed at that time. We have made several calls and text messages to Kevin Elliott and Pgh. Exteriors since that date. During one of those calls we were told the materials were in the warehouse and were waiting for available installer. On one of my conversations I sent pictures of work to be completed and repairs to be made. Then on 2-18-14 we received a call from Maggie at Pgh.Ext. notifying us that the materials were just ordered. It is now 3-3-14 and job is still not completed. This is very unacceptable it has been almost a year dealing with this company for a " one week job". Dean and Debbie Albert"

  • Pittsburgh Exteriors has changed their name to New House Works, the email address remains the same www.pghext@pghext.com Pgh. Exteriors did deliver the material to finish the job on march 14, but it was the wrong material I sent it back with the delivery man.I then called them to inform them of their mistake. They had no answer for the problem. They stated they would get back to me. It is now March 26. I had to call them today. They still had no answer for me. I am again waiting for a call from them.

  • It is now April 7,2014 and I have not heard from Pittsburgh Exteriors (New House Works) since I last spoke with them March 26,2014 regarding the delivery of wrong materials on March 14,2014 My Kitchen is still not completed . The kitchen was started on November 12,2013.
