Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Two days before moving out as a subtenant in my studio apartment in Bedstuy Brooklyn, NYC, Nicolette "Nikki" Campos placed an complaint on a website called SCAMBOOK.COM, where she stated that I owed her $2500 as a security deposit. She also states that I forced her to live in a government owned or leased apartment, whereby she was treated with harassment and the like. She also claims I am a crook that scammed others and I tried to change the locks on her, which ended in her feeling scared and powerless.

All of what she stated above is a lie.

Here are the facts:
-Upon leaving the apartment and returning the keys, Nikki Campos was given $800 as return payment of her security deposit; the only amount that was owed to her. She paid a total of 2400 once she decided to take the apartment (First, $800; Last, $800; Security, $800)
-The apartment she lived in was privately owned by a private management company, located in Brooklyn, NY. And the lease holders are not representatives or organizations funded by the government, but individuals that consider the apartment home. They may have sought government assistance to help care for their bills, including their rent, but that was the extent of government association.
-She was never harassed but treated as a NYC tenant should be treated. I simply would not give her the special treatment she desired, consider she never lived in NY before and wasn't aware of the living conditions the city offers.
-Nikki was never scammed by me, as she was provided exactly what she paid for: a comfortable living environment comparable to the cost: $800 per month (The place was actually valued at 1000/month, but I offered the place at $800 considering Nikki was considered a subtenant, not the least holder. It is also against the law to offer leases to a place that already had a lease attached.

To be frank, Nikki was the absolute wrong person chosen for my place. Before she actually moved into the place, she was constantly blowing up my phone, regretting her decision to move in. And while I offered to give the apartment to someone else and her money back, she would immediately and consistently change her mind or make the search for a replacement subtenant much more unbearable.

The entire writing and placement of the false and disgusting complaint on Scambook was simply a means to attack my character and reputation. Nikki Campos, to date, has not provided any proof that I did any of the actions stated above and in the complaint. Thus, I have moved to seek a legal counsel to seek damages for defamation.

In the meantime, I demand that Nicolette 'Nikki' Campos remove the complaint off the Internet IMMEDIATELY. As of last week, she promised she would do so. But that promise was made last week, on a Thursday. Let's she if she will follow through with her promise, following the mess she made. If she does the right thing and remove the complaint from the internet, I will move to discontinue my attempt to seek damages.

Thank you!"

  • People Claim is a well known website that I have used many times in my life. I still dont know why Nikki claims to think I am some Charles character, but here are the facts: I am Sebastian Alverius comiing to Nikki Campos and making a claim that she has made spiteful and false complaints against me. I have asked her to send me proof of this Charles situation. I have also asked her to send me an email of this guy. I have the emails to back my requests up. So far, SHE HAS NOT! She fails to show cooperation even in the slightest detail. She is quite delusional.
She needs to understand that websites online like People Claim can be quite well known, not of a single person. Also, claims can be researched by simply looking up her name and the name of the person who made the complaint. While I will not alter my statement and demands, I have offered to help convince this Charles guy to remove the statement off the internet. Until then, I will move to place this comment online for the public to view. And then, she will have very little choice than to accuse me of placing TRUTHFUL complaints on the internet against her, and I will be more than happy to confirm it for her.
Before she make accusations, she needs to have PROOF of such claims. So far, she fails in that understanding.

I am giving her one more chance to remove the complaint and my claim goes public. I have given Nikki Nicolete Campos multiple times to do the right thing.

    Nikki,

I have asked you to remove the complaint from the internet. Unfortunately, you still fail to comply. I have done my research and discovered that I can also make my own claim via the internet. I will do so is you do not comply by the end of the day Thursday (today). If you don't respond or care, simply ignore this email and I will proceed. I truly do not wish to do anything that will attempt damage your reputation, although you have seriously damaged mine.

    Thanks

Nikki, what is the email to the Charles guy? If this is what it takes for you to remove the lie from the internet, I'll work hard to fix the issue.

If you dont, please don't email or contact me anymore.

It's a shame I must do this, considering this will possibly hurt both or our reps in some way. But since you have already hurt my rep for over a year, maybe this would be what they call "getting a taste of your own medicine."
If you have no desire to remove the posting, there is no need to respond. I certainly do not wish any ill will against anyone, but maybe people like you deserve some sort of reprimand every now and then.
I will still move to pursue legal against you.

  • If Nikki CAMPOS submits PROOF of any kind that PROVES her online complaint against me is true beyond a reasonable doubt, I will personally apologize to her for bothering her and move to accept the online complaint as true. The same goes with accusing me to be this "Charles" guy. If she can prove it, she has a right to state it as fact.

  • Mar 25, 2014, Claiming party added:
  • It seems that Nikki Campos isn't the only person who posts fraudulent statements, then accuses the victim of stupid erroneous accusations so to try to justify their original fraudulent act. I have discovered info pertaining to the website Nikki used, Scambook.com, as not being a legitimate site, but one that extorts the victim for money to clear their name! In fact, they do not even have an actual home address, nor do they have an actual person who will state they actually work for the company! And...they have been on the news! The link to NBC Chicago's segment can been seen by clicking the following link: http://www.nbcchicago.com/investigations/Is_Scambook_com_a_Scam_Itself__Chicago-170291966.html

Maybe Nikki knew this all along and posted her false complaint on this site and this site only so knowing it wouldn't be scrutinized.

Just for the record, I have reached out to Scambook.com and made 27 complaints against Nikki's false complaint and, so far, not ONE response was made. So, at this point, Nikki can only write an apology on the site, considering her grotesque action may possibly never be removed.

  • Mar 25, 2014, Claiming party added:
  • So, I contacted the NYPD, obviously a legitimate law enforcement agency, and asked them if someone can be arrested for posting false claims on the internet. Now, a year ago I was naive on the subject and asked the same question, with a heightened desire to have Nikki punished for her actions. Unfortunately, the officers and detectives of THREE precincts informed me that I would have to file a civil suit against her, considering the situation is not a criminal matter and, thus, no one can possibly be arrested. In fact, fiction or not, anyone can post anything they wish, good or bad, about another, with the only consequence of them being sued and forced into civil court.
Now, since Nikki thinks I must be another person who is making a 'false' claim against her (by the way, we still do not know if the claim made by this 'Charles' is, in fact, false, considering Nikki has a sudden negative history), she believes that I, or 'Charles', can be arrested and criminally punished for a non-criminal matter.....such a stupid belief, as I am sure the 'authorities informed her of this!

Nikki, if one could be arrest for this type of activity, I would have had you arrested a year ago! Think about it! Are you that OBTUSE?!

You need to stop trying to accuse me of stupid activity and do the right thing and fix the actions you have made. If you do this, I'm sure KARMA will respond with a blessing on your behalf. Until then, it's possible you will continue to be screwed.
And no, I am not harassing you, for you committed a direct violation against me, and I am responding to it. And I am using this well known site, and the only legitimate site out there, to post a claim against you prior to taking the next step, which is court. So, please be wise and clean up what you messed up! And stop sending me emails claiming I am 'Charles.' Until you do the right thing and stop lying to me, I will continue to post my responses to your emails on this claim so you cannot accuse me of another ridiculous act against 'innocent' old you.

By the way, I have tried to locate 'Charles'' claim against you...so far, I have found nothing. Could you be making this up too so to blow hot air or smoke to try to divert attention to the real issue here?!

  • One day remains before this claim moves to public status on the Internet. I hoped that Nikki would do the right thing and correct her disgusting mistake prior to this claim is brought before the public... sigh. You don't get what you always hope and pray for. Maybe it's for the best...at least people will finally be exposed to the truth and see for themselves how evil, vicious and psychotic a person can be.

  • So, this Nikki lady is denying ever knowing the claimant but she scams him on a website?!! Hello! It's your name listed as the writer of the complaint on scam book. The terms are actually reasonable. He's not asking for money. If you wrote it, and it's false, remove it. If you think the claimant is this Charles guy, prove it. If you can't, you're a lying b* ch who has issues and should own up to your faults. Clean up your mess! - jhp
