Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I secured an in house finance auto loan from this company on 10/25/2010. With $3,000 down on a monthly payment of $395. However, I have consistently paid between $400 to $500 each month, in an effort to pay the loan off on time.
3/25/12. I went and made a payment of $450. 3/27/12 I received a call from one of their rep by the name Erika.Claiming that I am $700 behind on my payment proof of that my car has been placed on a repo status that I my payment has gone up to $650 since January because my record shows no proof of insurance.I explained that I never received a request notice for proof of Insurance or a notification regarding the adjustment in my monthly payment which could have allowed me to act promptly to avoid those abusive charges, she responded that they don't have to notify me because its already stated on the contract that I signed. I told her that I never had that copy and that I will appreciate it if the should send me a copy and also pleaded that she give me till the end of business the next day to forward her my proof of insurance.
I called my insurance that same day and was informed that my coverage was cancelled because my auto payment didn't go through, I updated my insurance over the phone and gavethe guy the fax number to forward the info to Erika that same day.
I called Erike at about 8am on 3/28. and left a message, that I wanted to confirm if she received the proof of insurance and also if it was possible that she allow me one month to come up with the $700 . She called back to tell me that she only received my insurance card and that though she called and validated it and that she can't accept anything other than the title and the full payment. Through enough they came and take away the car the same day. I called her again the followig day,she said that to get the car back I must now have to come up with $1,151.90. I pleaded that she give me time to come up with that kind of money. She told me I will receive a form on the mail in 2 business, to complete and return. I received a mail 5 days later, with a note stating how much I have to pay to get the car back, without any form to allow me request for time.4/11. I called and explain to Erikat that I never received the form but a note. She said well, she give me till 4/20. after which the car will be auctioned. I told her that I get paid on the 25th. she said if I want the car back, I will have to come up with the money on the 20th. Since I couldn't go to work without the car. I took time of from work, futunately I got a friend to loan me $1200 on 4/13.I called Erika over 10 times between 4/13 and left her over 4 messages 4/ 17. In between I spoke to Carlos and another lady, they both refered me to Erika, according to them she is the one in charge of my account, Erika finaly decided to call me back on 4/17. Just in the voice mail. I told her I had the money and wanted to know where to go and pay and get the car back She said, the payment had gone up from $1,151.90 to $1800 plus, because my next payment is due on the 24th and therefore,I must have to pay all upfront in advance to get the car back. I protested and demanded to talk to her superior, her response was that her superior is very busy that I will have to call another time and hung up on me.I have my phone record to prove my case as well as other document."

  • In response to the 1st person dealing with the repo and Erika 1st let me tell you a big secret that most of M.F. customers don't know is that Misson Financial allows its collection department to purchased reposed vehicles at a fraction of the cash value and sticking the customer with a defeciancy balance some employees do it for the extra income here's the list
Gabby Ramos, Gilberto Lopez, Sergio Guererro, Nick Rojas, and the list goes on many of them sell them for a large profit or to help their family out by getting them a car for next to nothing knowing that they can get away with since this has been going for over a decade

  • If I knew what kind of bank is Mission Financial, I would never took a loan from them. They told me first, it's going to be "n" amount of money, when I was signing the contract. After 5 months passed, I called them to verify my information. I wanted to payoff my truck, but they told me that it is a different amount 10K $ higher money. I don't know what to do with them. And every time I make a payment it is like 30 $ fee. Are you guys crazy? And they don't have an online option. Ripoff all over your pocket. Do not trust them. DO NOT WORK WITH MISSION FINANCIAL SERVICES!!! NEVER EVER EVER!!!
