"My wife, i, and Grandson just ate lunch at Main St. Pub West Main St. Kalamazoo. The food was horrible! I usually give the average server 20% Gratuity, and have not given 0.00 in decades! Today it happened, as both my wife and I stated separately within 5-10 minutes to the waitress that our food was of poor quality, I walked out and my wife told the same thing to the waitress as I did on my way out, before paying the bill!, and we have had a previous bad experience there but returned anyway! Why we did I am so upset to even think about now! The bill was over $48!!! The pepper crab soup had imitation fish, tasted very fishy, and the clam strips tasted like imitation crab meat/fish, which I am sure it was, and the french fries "died" sooner than McDonald's french fries do, hard and tasteless in this case! Cole slaw was not good at all, and my grandson had mac N' Cheese, (how can anyone but MSP ruin that? My wife had a tuna melt, which was served cold! She hardly ever complains about anything, so that is indicative of the food quality, plus being served less than luke warm, AS WAS MY SO CALLED PEPPER CRAB SOUP? OH! and GET THIS!!!.....The waitress forgot I had Sierra Mist, and filled my glass with a pitcher of water! THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED IN 64 YEARS OF MY LIFE! This for 48 "Something! You have to be kidding? Now the real problem that motivated this complaint, and even our grandson noticed this, the waitress after being told how bad the food was did not bring back a manager, said, "I am sorry!?? That is what earned her zero tip right there..."I am sorry"!??? REALLY? THEN SHE WENT TO THE CHECKOUT AREA, AND THEY ALL HAD A BIG LAUGH IN OUR FACE! Well, you know what? I have complained before and they disrespect you like you are trying to scam them, and do nothing to make things right! They are pretty much arrogant, righteous, and literally laugh in your face! I am not going to be humiliated by a bunch of 20 some, or less, women who feel everything is so "funny/cutesie", because being scammed AS WE WERE, THEN BEING TREATED LIKE THIS AT OUR AGE, IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN 1 MILE FROM OUR HOME! I expect a refund because they laughed at us, I have no doubt, and have been in my small business successfully for 39 years! We recognize those places with poor customer service and poor food quality, and West Main Pub is all about that, unless of course if you go there for alcohol and to smoke? We do NOT and are now feeling sincerely taken advantage of! Once again, the food and service being bad is only one thing, but "yukking it up" as those 2 did, and we want our complete tab reimbursed, or we will let as many people here on the West Side of Kalamazoo, where we both grew up, know all the details! (Unless we are taken care of in a proper manner? We do not see this business doing that at all, and I returned 90% of my meal and wish I had not eaten a thing! Thank you for allowing us to express our concern, it is very upsetting to try and have a nice lunch, only to have this occur?"
