Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Volkswagen of America sent me an email: "RECEIVE A $1000 reward card when you purchased a new 2014 turbocharged Volkswagen vehicle. SHOP NOW"

On June 30, I called Linden VW to inquire about the offer, I was told that they will honor all VW promotions. Based on that we traveled to Linden NJ, looked at their cars but they did not have the car that we want but told us that put a small deposit and they will find the car for us.

On Wednesday July 2, they told me that they have located a car, someone will pick it up from Bernardsville, NJ and it will be ready in the afternoon. We understood that they will handle the $1000 Reward and that will have to wait for a week or two.

I called and sent emails to the sales person and manager asking about the reward but no reply and finally on September 1, I contacted VW customer services and told me that LINDEN VOLSKWAGEN never processed the reward because the invoice was dated June 30.

We were in shock to heard that, obviously they never acted in good faith, they never warning us that we if put a deposit that day we could not receive the reward. They ignore the fact the they did not have a car to sell us on June 30 and that we have to wait for them to acquired the car till July 2 . Their argument is not valid, totally unacceptable.

Neither VW Customer Services or ourselves can't understand why they are adamant to process the reward . They never told us up front that we did not qualify for the reward. Plain and simple they are out to cheat us.

Volkswagen Customer Service told us that they feel very bad about Linden's VW attitude, that they will honor the reward but they are the middle men and can't order Linden VW to process the reward that we have a valid case and advised me to inform Mr. Michael Difeo about this matter and/or pursue a legal action.

  • I was just informed by Corporate Volkswagen of America that Linden VW's offer does not have a specific STARTING DATE. Therefore this negates Linden Volkswagen's argument that the transaction was not within the dates stipulated by their offer.
    Ms. Ana Woods of Linden VW has a copy of their offer on hand but if need it I will gladly send them a copy of their offer.
    This legal evidence clearly puts an end to this futile claim and now Linden Vw will honor without any further delays the reward that we are entitle.

  • Sorry but your information is not correct. The $1000 that is referenced is the TDI sales event where the consumer could have recieved the benefit of either a $1000 gas card or additional $1000 rebate, one or the other , not both, and that program has a sart date of July 1, 2014. Sorry but there will be no offers or payments made, as I clearly stated before we did nothing incorrect and did not get any benefit. sorry programs have begin and end dates and you purchased your car BEFORE the program was launched by VW.

    Dear Mr. DiFeo:



    This picture is worth a thousand words. Here is one of promotion emails that I received

    from Corporate VW.



    As you can see there is not starting date for this promotion and therefore this

    negates Mr. DiFeo's argument that the car was not purchased within the

    stipulated dates.



    But If Mr. DiFeo insist here is an alternative:



    On July 2 Linden VW bought my car from Volkswagen of Bernardsville, today spoke

    with them and they are willing to submit the Reward Paper to Corporate VW and

    therefore Mr. DiFeo's date argument will end.



    Alleluia this nightmare will be over!



    For the love of God, please Mr. DiFeo be reasonable give them a call or have your

    people submitted the paper work to VW either way you are ahead of game:

    - you benefited from the promo by selling a car

    - the reward will be pay by Corporate VW

    - you will do good by the customer and by your dealer.



    For you: there is nothing to lose or nothing to gain. Lets put and end to this claim.

    - you will do good for the customer and for your business.

    For you: there is nothing to lose and a lot to gain. Lets put and end to this claim.
