Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Good Day!

On April, 2012, My Grand-daughter Asia Medley purchased a 2004 Ford Focus. The price of
this vehicle was approximately $8,000.00 and it was paid in cash. Also, this vehicle was not sold AS IS, It had a three month Warranty on it. Two months after obtaining this
vehicle my Grand-daughter went to used the air-conditioner to find out that it was not
working and also there was a problem when starting this vehicle. She took it to a Mechanic in the area and was told that the Battery was no good and the Air Conditioner
needed to be checked out. We then took this vehicle back to the Toyota Dealer and was
told by either Mr Bob Wallock and Mr. Dale Edenato That were not going to take care of
these problems with this vehicle because it was not covered under Warranty. When I helped my Grand-daughter to purchase this vehicle I expected it to be in tip top shape. I never thought this Dealership could be so dishonest. All they wanted was the money and
they didn't care what condition this vehicle was in. All they wanted was to get it off their
hands. I also feel that we were overcharged in price. We were kept being told to pay an
additional $1500 for extra warranty which we could not afford. These people knew this
vehicle had problems before it was put out for sale and this is why they were pressuring
me to take out an extended warranty. When you know that there is something wrong with a vehicle and you sell it, then you are deceiving the customer. You sold this vehicle
under false pretenses. When one goes into a store to purchase mechandise, you want it
to be in the best condition and not defective. And, this Dealership sold my Grand-daughter a Defective vehicle. To think that this Dealership was trying to get approximately
$10,000 from us by trying to get us to purchase an extended Warranty.
To resolve this matter I would like these problems to be taken care of immediately.
In closing, I feel that I should get the same courteous service when purchasing this vehicle and not be disrespected when their is a problem with this vehicle.
