Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I do not understand how the dealership can retract on a contract when nothing has been breached on the purchasing party's side. Every single form that needed to be filled out and signed for the Honda Accord was completed on Monday evening and I drove home with the car. The only thing that was left to be taken care of was the upgrading my insurance coverage from liability to full coverage and I would be able to come by on Tuesday after work to collect my tag that I was transferring from my old car to the new car. I upgraded my insurance and went to the dealership in thoughts that I was only collecting my tag and able to go home. Next thing I know they are telling me that they need the keys back to the Honda and that they have a Hyundai for me instead. They would not tell me the price of the Hyundai no matter how many times I asked. I reluctlantly agreed to a test drive of the Hyundai since I felt bullied into it. When I asked again about the price of the car they told me they would let me know. Next thing I know they have me in the Finance Office with all the paperwork printed for the Hyundai and the Finance Rep was told that I had agreed to switching the cars. I never agreed on any switch. They led me to believe that if I wanted to leave with a car that I was going to have to take their Hyundai. When I said that I was calling for a ride to come get me they decided that after all I could have the Honda. After the ordeal I decided that I did not want to give that amount of money to this dealership if this is how they treat their customers. They attempted to do a bait and switch on me and I do not appreciate this business practice. I am upset for the fact that I now have insurance covering a car that I do not have in my possession and I am out again on a car. I am having to borrow my dad's car just to be able to get to work and back. I spent over 2 hours at this dealership on Monday filling out all the neccessary paperwork for the 2011 Honda Accord and there was never one time that they expressed any reason that I would not be able to have the car. My understandment is when all the contracts are signed and the money has been exchanged for a down payment then the car is mine as long I keep up on my end of the contract. This dealership did not honor their end of the contract and tried to take advantage of a first time car buyer."
