Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Purchased a carpet from home depot 4/27/2017.Order no.H2104-16467. Installation date was to be 6/13/2017, between 1 to 4 pm.

Waited and heard nothing from the delivery team #2.

Called the home depot we got the carpet through. Somehow got connected with the guy who was to install the carpet. First of all he started the conversation off with a lie, said he had called me in the morning to tell me would not be able to install a one room carpet that day. I told him I did not receive that call. He started to get confrontational from that point, got me really upset.

Anyway, went to the store that we purchased the carpet from. Wanted to just cancel the order and was told that would involve a 15% restock fee. The manager said they would work to get the carpet installed as soon as possible. Got a call that evening from the manager of the installers and she said they would be out to install the carpet between 8and 10 am to install the carpet. She called me the next morning and said they would be out in the afternoon to install the carpet. Waited until 2:15 and still hadn't heard from them. Know they quit around 4pm so gave the store another call and got hold of a manager by the name of Jim, said he would see what he could do to get the carpet installed that day.

Waited a while to hear back. Then got a call from someone I could not understand what he said . Called the guy back and he said the carpet had got damaged.Am disappointed with home depot. They never once were concerned about how the customer was treated. They acted as if they were at the mercy, time wise, of the people that deliver the carpet and install it. Not customer oriented at all. The bottom line is home depot gets the credit whether the service is good or bad. Want to be done with all of this, will go elsewhere."
