"This story begins on 11/30/2016.My wife and I needed a new counter top so we went out to home depot just because that's where we always go. Just a habit. We ordered and paid for a 6 foot counter with no cut outs. $424. Could have got it anywhere for that price. This had a 3 week delivery on it but would be here fof Christmas. A few days after the 3 weeks had come and gone home depot called to say it would be late.Yes. After Christmas a guy calls and wants to verify the address as he is on the way. At the time I was in the shower so my wife took the call.Unfortuately my wife is a stroke victim and she gave him our old address.When I got out he called again from our old address. I said I was sorry and tried to explain this to him. I would hope anyone old enough to drive could understand this.Nope. Not this guy.he throws a little tantrum and says he is taking it back to the store.Fine. Next day I go to home depot to get it.Guess what. The store he is talking about is somewhere in Ohio. The guy at home depot says this is between me and his supplier and not really his problem.Really. It is now 1/18/2017 and counting and I have not heard from anyone. I assume this supplier from somewhere in Ohio is trying to rub my nose in this. And since my check to home depot cashed they do not seem to have a problem Lets try a little hindsight. Just went to home depot to buy a counter top. Mistake number 1. They do not make anything at home depot. You are just hiring them to farm this job out to whoever they choose. Wonder why they do not use any of the local cabinet shops. Wonder why I did not. Do you think they found better workmanship or just cheaper? At any rate next I paid in full. Mistake number 2. Always a mistake. No excuses. I have bought thousands of dollars worth of products from them. Just thought I should be able to trust them. Well if they ever get around to delivering this I will add on if I get stuck for another delivery charge."
