Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I booked an booked appointment using my visa debit card through my bank Wells Fargo for a hair salon called Hair by Royal in Raleigh North Carolina. The appointment for this merchant was booked through Styleseat.com for this merchant. The appointment was booked on Tuesday November 8, 2016. The total charges for the services that I booked for came up a total of $165.00. After booking the appointment for services for this merchant. I contacted the merchant the owner named Victoria to verify if the appointment was booked. The merchant stated, "Let me check and I will get back with you." The merchant later sent me an electronic message via text stating the appointment did not book nor save. She suggested I try re booking this appointment. However I did not re book the appointment because I did not feel comfortable about not getting a confirmation. And the merchant not verifying all demographic information with me about the appointment. A couple of days later on November 10, 2016. I get a text message confirmation stating, "Styleseat: for this appointment, you'll pay and tip through your phone after the appointment. Enjoy your appointment with Royal! I then contacted the merchant via text message and forwarded the message to the merchant Hair by Royal. The merchant stated, "she would take a look." Meanwhile I received a second confirmation saying, "You paid $165.00 to Royal at Hair by Royal. I then forwarded this second message to the merchant directly via text message. The merchant denied she ever told me the appointment did not book. She also also stated I gave false information about my name and she said she would not give me another appointment nor would she compensate me for the funds loss. I did tell the merchant this is considered fraud because she has collected funds for services that have not been provided. She then sent me several taunting e-mails about the situation and that it was my fault and not hers. (I can provided e-mails or text message records upon request)"

  • This claim has already been settled with styleseat and her bank! No refund was issued due to style seat policy. Anything further will be considered harassment. ANITA has sent me text messages after this matter has been resolved with her bank. Then she filed this bogus claim.

  • I made an appt with Hair By Royal on StyleSeat as well.  My appt was for 7:30pm on 2/18/2017.  I arrived about 7:25pm. After arriving, she informed me that she had not colored the hair (3 weave bundles) I purchased from her through her PayPal account. She said she could color it, but it would be awhile. I told her I would wait for her to complete the color and my weave service although she had at least 3 clients waiting for their hair services at that time. When her mother began to braid my hair I asked her to stop a moment so I could talk to Royal about how my hair (closure/non-closure, edges out, swoop bang) would be completed.  Royal said she saw the pictures I sent but that none had edges out.  They all did. I tried to engage her in a conversation on how my closure/hair would look because I didn't want it to look "wiggy" like the photos on her wall of her work. She said she could NOT complete my style like the pictures I had submitted to her by text. So I told her to give me the uncolored hair and I would try to find someone else who I felt would have the time to listen to what I was trying to explain about how I wanted my hair done/how my past stylists had done my hair.  She waited about 10 mins to give me my hair. In the meantime, I called another stylist to try to get an appt for the next day. One of her customers heard me on the phone and told her I believe.  So after I left she charged me $90 for a "cancellation fee".  Very surprising she mentioned nothing about the fee while I was still in the salon. I told her to put my money back in my account. She told me to read her fine print that I had cancelled my appt. SHE essentially cancelled the appt when she said she could not do my hair like the pictures I sent her.  I believe my statement shows a pattern with this "stylist" and I absolutely believe she tolk this other lady's money like she did mine.  performed a Google search for her and happended to see this. Mam if you need me to testify in court for you I will.  I will be taking her to Small Claims Court and I hope Judge does something to make her stop taking customer's money.
