Claimant says:
"I respond to an ad on Craig's List Asheville for a New Holland Skid Steer Loader for $2000. I made the purchase using greendot Visa cards on December 6, 2016. Using the greendot cards was for my security according to the seller. Using eBay Motors for shipping was also for my security. After I called the number on the invoice to give the numbers on my geeendot cards, I got a request for $1000 for shipping. I asked for a refund calling the number on the invoice. They answered my call but hung up as soon as I asked for a refund. When I redialed the number, the person responded that the party I needed was unavailable and I needed to call back another time.On December 10, I called the number on the greendot card to request a refund. The greendot recording said a refund had been requested on December 6, 2016 and I should receive a check within 10 business days. I did not request a refund from greendot. I went online to greendot.com and filed a Transaction Dispute Claim which has been unanswered to date. I reported this incident to the local sheriff's office and an investigator called on December 20 to tell me that the numbers on the invoice were $10 use-once numbers that are not able to be tracked. I have not received a response from greendot.com and there seems to be no way to speak to a person representing their agency. I have lost $2000 because December 20th was 10 working days since I paid and I did not receive a check for the refund in the mail. I would like to file a fraudulent claim against the greendot.com organization, eBay Motors, and Craig's List Asheville."
