Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"We called this company to move our 2bedroom house from Overland to St. Charles. They said they would be at the Overland location at 10:00 AM. They asked no questions about the contents of the home. The movers arrived at 12:00 noon. After packing up for 3 hours, they ran out of wrapping paper. It took them 90 minutes to get more. It took them 9 hours to pack up. Their truck could not hold all the furniture, but they left for St. Charles around 9:00 PM without getting all the contents of the Overland home. They finished dropping off furniture at midnight. My daughter wrote them a check. She was afraid to withhold the check because she was in the house alone. The next day she called to complain that she did not have all of her belongs. They took two pickup trucks to get what was left. Once again they did not have room to bring all the furniture. They sent someone to put together a bed, a crib, and I table. We helped him to put the table together but it took him three hours to finish. They wanted to be paid for bringing what was left. They knew what was left and knew that it would not fit in two pickups. They wanted to be paid for this second move even though they still hadn't moved all the furniture. My daughter paid them. Now we have to hire another mover to get the rest of our furniture. I wrote my complaint with the company on their website. Their response was that all the problems we had were all our fault. They arrived 2 hours late. After packing for 3 hours, they had to go get more packing wrap and they were gone 90 minutes. They did not have enough room on truck so didn't move everything. They finally just put all furniture in the new house 12 hours after they started. They brought two pick up trucks the next day with more furniture but still not all the furniture. They charged us again but still did not bring all furniture. They knew what was left there yet they only brought two pickup trucks. Their excuse was we didn't inform how much we had. I thought it was their job to figure that out. I want them to pay for someone else to move the furniture they didn't move. They were the ones who didn't figure how much room they needed for a two bedroom house."

  • WHILE YOU WERE TO BUSY GETTING DRUNK IN THE EVENT OF YOUR MOVE I BELIEVE YOU WAS NOT CAPABLE OF CONSCIOUSNESS THUS YOU WERE IMPAIRED AT A POINT OF TIME AND THERE ON AFTER. YOU AGREED TO THE PAYMENTS AND WAS MADE FULL AWARE OF THE CHARGES BEFORE THE MOVE EVER OCCURRED VIA THUMTACK.COM WEEKS IN ADVANCE.

  • I see you've accepted the proposed offer of cash settlement for $625. Please confirm. You should also be aware of slander laws before you publicly attack an individual, not to mention your customer. This will remain open until the settlement is received. Your continually blaming of me the customer and now personal attacks shows first hand the lack of professionalism and inability to ethically conduct business.

  • Since your post on Sept. 17, the only way this will be settled and not presented to BBB, will be to get a refund of $625 as stated in our Sept 18th posted at 11:56. The money will be used to pay another company to finish the job you didn't finish.

  • Fly Guy movers agreed to a settlement. The deadline has come and gone. So they said they would settle and did not. Having lied about this I would question all the positive ratings they have on their website. Maybe those are lies, too.

  • Fly Guy Movers have shown again that they are a business who lies to its customers. This company agreed to send me a refund since the job was never completed. They have not finished the job of moving, they left trash in the back yard, and they have not refunded our money as they promised in this settlement.
