"Hello,

I tried purchasing a vehicle from Don Jenkins Ford in Fuquay-Varina, NC. It was a Dark Grey 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan with a backup camera. The salesman, Steve Houston, gave me all my payment information, the amount I would be financing, length of loan agreement, amount in sales tax, pictures of the vehicle both inside and out, etc. The salesman agreed to deliver the vehicle to me on Sunday, May 27th, 2012, the day before memorial day. He told me to wire the down payment of $1,000 and the van was mine. I wired the money and the salesman ran off with my down payment. The down payment information was given over the phone of the dealership. I've got all receipts and contact saved for evidence. This would have been my 4th purchase from this salesman so I trusted his word. On Monday May 28th, 2012 I called the dealership to complain about the situation. The OWNER, Bob Jenkins, refused to even talk to me and passed me over to Nick Bufalari. THEN, when Nick started giving me the run around I contacted Don Jenkins Ford again and was put in contact with Bob Jenkins and Brandon (refused to tell me his last name.) Bob Jenkins, Nick Bufalari, and Brandon all yelled at me over the phone and no one accepted responsibility and they barely would give me their lawyer information, but finally did. Brandon asked me what I wanted and I said I was open to offers and he said he would call me back and never did. Nick Bufalari contacted me after the conversation between myself and the 3 men mentioned above. Nick Bufalari is the team leader of the traveling sales team that Steve Houston was a part of. The company of the traveling sales team is called "Drive Sales Event." They do car sales all over the country. Nick Bufalari told me repeatedly he was sorry and would handle the situation and would get me a vehicle of my choosing at cost. I asked for a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan in color orange or grey with a backup camera. Well it is now a full week later and Nick Bufalari has done nothing but give me a run around saying it's a rare vehicle he can't find, etc etc etc. Obviously, this is a common vehicle with base options and easily found. Nick Bufalari told me he had 12 dealerships in Atlanta, GA and would find me one from those lots. My agreement with him was he is to provide me the vehicle of my choice at cost and I am not to contact Don Jenkins Dealership again. I've got all of this information saved on my phone and conversations recorded. I've got Nick recorded literally saying one thing to me, one thing to his bosses and what he PLANS to tell a court if I press charges. Nick Bufalari and the Drive Sales Event has 12 dealerships in Atlanta, GA some in Texas, some in NC, and some in St. Louis and that's just what I'm aware of. There could be much more. And he can't find me a basic mini van??? The Drive Sales Event facebook page states they've had "3 big days.....at the bank." So they are obviously making money and taking advantage of people with complete disregard for legal or moral issues.

I'd like to also give some personal background information about myself. I am 35 years old with artificial legs. I have a very beautiful and active 6 year old and I am currently fighting bladder cancer. I was purchasing a mini van to carry children around AND so I can put my motorized scooter I use, inside the vehicle. I have done NOTHING wrong to these people and all these men and companies see is some female taken advantage of for a mere $1,000 and they simply do not care!!! I had been saving up a down payment for a vehicle. I was also saving up to purchase a beach cart because I am unable to walk on the beach by myself. Finally, I was saving up for a new motorized scooter I can put in and out of a vehicle by myself. What I was saving up for was my independence. All of that was lost on Memorial Day. How ironic and painful!?!? I'm out my down payment and no one has even OFFERED to give me the $1,000 back. Now I have to use the money saved up for my independence to fight against sleazy car salesmen/dealership/companies. I will absolutely be contacting the BBB, Consumer Affairs, The Media, and lawyers if this is not resolved to my satisfaction within a reasonable time. If I have to fight at all...I'm giving 110% because let's face it. I've got cancer and thus have nothing to lose and everything to gain for my family. I have no vehicle. No down payment. No freedom and an insane fire of determination. I am a good person and do NOT deserve this kind of treatment. Justice and the good WILL prevail in this matter."
