Claimant says:
"I scratched the right side of my 2001 Lexus against my garage Monday morning, October 15, 2012. I also damaged my right tire. I called AAA to change my tire and asked Billy, the tech, if he could recommend a body shop. He gave me the name and telephone number of Dent Masters and told me to ask for Mike. I called. An older gentlemen answered and asked me to call back at 1:30 p.m. I called and Mike came out to my house. He asked if I wanted the repairs done and I agreed. He said the largest cost was paint because my car had a pearl finish. We had no contract. I never signed anything and was never told or given any notice that the work was "as is." (I never heard of "as is" specialty work.) He went to Arlington and came back with three cans of spray paint which he said was a primer, paint and pearl finish. He complete he work and put some type of coating over the scratches that he said would come off with a car wash or that I should call him and he would come out to remove the coating himself. He requested a tip, saying several time that "tips would be appreciated." He remembered he had no contract for the work so he began writing an invoice out after everything was completed, but I never signed anything. He asked me to go to the bank with him to cash the check I gave him because the bank lobby had closed. I gave him a total of $600 --$285 for the paint, $300 for labor and $15 for the tip he requestd. I took the car to a hand wash station the next day but the coating did not come off. I call Dent Masters Tuesday and Wednesday, left messages each time, but no one ever returned my calls. I want the coating removed from my car, the paint returned and the $15 tip. I am shocked by this type of business. There is no address on the business card I was given, just the telephone number: 682-552-3484. I went on line and found the address of 3020 E. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Texas. There was also no address on the invoice he wrote after the work was completed. Josephine V. Dye"
