Claimant's opinion: the flooring was mislaid incorrectly--had three professional flooring covering companies look at and all said--'THEY DID NOT KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING"(please refer to the attachments from three reputable floor covering companies)----actually the grout they used is coming up throughout the house and flooring in upstairs bathroom is coming up completelyactually charged for 900 square feet and actually laid only 643 square feet--had sixteen boxes of tile the customer had to return for reimbursementwhen learned of the tile coming up in the upstairs bathroom-sent me a bill forsome material that should be used on the floor before applying tile on a floor that is not concrete, sent bill for $650--when the three professional floor people looked at the floor they all said the proper installation material was not applied and he charged for something the company did not apply when c/o about the air conditioner being on in 60's keeping the windows frosted over in the living room/kitchen---was told he would take care of it-went inseveral times and thermostat in 60's--ACTUALLY LEARNED FROM THE THREE PROFESSIONAL FLOORING COMPANIES THE AIR SHOULD OF NEVER BEEN LEFT ON--SHOULD OF BEEN OFF TO PREVENT THE AIRFROM CIRCULATING THE DEBRIS AND CONSTRUCTION DUST THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE AND ALSO CLOGGING UP THE DUCT SYSTEM when c/o about all the light being left on--was told he would take care of it-several times after they were all on-AT TIME OF REPOSSESSION OF THE HOUSE 9 CAN LIGHTS WERE BURNT OUT never saw plastic used to protect the interior of the house-was informed itwas a mistake but would fix it--never saw a sheet of plastic on the premises-interior looked like gallons and gallons of baby powder were sprinkled on the entire interior of the house WHEN TOOK POSSESSION OF THE HOUSE,found the worse imaginable condition you can ever imagine--not just my house but my homehad been destroyed and,violated IT WAS DAMAGED BY 'PREDATORS"----called the realtor(who recommended the company FOR THE REMODELING PROJECT) she also very upset with the condition of the house--immediately called the owner and demanded he come asap and fix this MESS--before thisWHEN I CALLED THE OWNER TO EXPLAIN THE SITUATION ASK COMEHE WAS TOO BUSY TO COME LOOK AT THE MESS,HE WAS COMING BACK FROM SOUTH LOUSISIANA AND HAD JOBS DOWN THERE--it was not until I called the realtor,who recommended the company to me ,called the owner and informed him there was a mess at 251 vance and better come fix it now----NOT UNTIL THAT POINT DID HE LISTEN TO THE COMPLAINTS ANDGAVE THE PROJECT SOME ATTENTION--only to face but did nothing aboutthe mess except clean my bed comforter and pillows and clean some of the construction dust I was told by his own workers that he told them to tell me he had been there checking on the job as a followup with the complaints but never came to the job site to check out the complaints HE TOLD THE REALTORS HE WAS TRIED OF HEARING FROM ME AND WANTED TO GET OUT OF THERE--HE HAD ALREADY SPENT TOO MUCH MONEY--the 4-5 day project ended up being a 38-day project his workers told me he had sent the crew that was suppose to do the job at my house to south Louisiana because of the floods and destructionthere he was making lots of money and had so much work--was actually thinking about moving his business to south Louisiana---the owner called me after about 2-3 days after starting of the job and asked me if okay if put hold on job for about 3-4 dayshis main layer(worker) family lived in south louisiana and he needed to bring them to Shreveport they had lost their home--later learned he sent this individualto south Louisiana to do work there several times found water running non-stop in the commode-informed would fix it-at time took possession of the house the commode was turned offwhen turned on the water ran non-stop found the composite granite sink had been used to mix up the grout-foundclumps of grout stuck to the bottom of the sink and the drain was discolored no longer matched the color of the sink---WAS INFORMED BY PROFESSIONALREMODELERS THAT IF THE GROUT WAS IN THE BOTTOM OF THE SINKIT WAS DEFINITELY IN THE PIPES AND WOULD LEAD TO DRAINAGE PROBLEMS AND VERY COSTLY PLUMBING BILLS--also found three largemetal spoons in the dishwasher that were coated with the grout that required soaking in hot soapy water and scraped with a metal brush to clean-they alsoused the dishes in my cabinets(dishwasher was full with dishes) at the time of the repossession of my house,found bags of tile thathad been pulled up in large garbage bags in the ditches by my driveway withoverflow of trash from the job-----when opened the double garage door-therewas trashing ranging from soda bottles,cookie wrappers,vienna sausage cans chip bags----all kinds of trash
Claimant's opinion: AT THIS POINT I FEEL LIKE I HAVE BEEN MORE THAN 'RIPPEDOFF'---I and my HOME have been violated I TALKED WITH A REPUTABE REAL ESTATE AGENT WHO HADHELPED ME SELL MY MOTHER 'S HOUSE ABOUT 8-9 YEARS AGO--person very professional,educated,and genuinely a nice person---also talked with several real estate brokers who encouraged some remodeling in my hometo help sell it--plan to sell and take that money and build a smaller house gettingready to retire--I am 65 years old and my working years are getting smaller and smaller----asked the realtor if she knew anyone that did this type of remodeling-JOHNATHAN MOREAU name was given--informed she has used him many times so I got his name and went from there. IT HAS BEEM A hellacious NIGHMARE SINCE AUGUST 2016 TILL NOW--- I PAID FOR THE SUPPLIES AND HALF THE LABOR COST UPFRONT----TOTALS TO ABOUT $3015.26---------- after taking the not used tile back for reimbursement of $ 297.67(paid out $3312.93 initially) AFTER TALKING WITH THREE PROFESSIONAL FLOORINGCOMPANIES,I FOUND THE ONLY WAY TO FIX THE MISLAID TILE IS TOPULL ALL UP AND START OVER--AVERAGED THE COST FROM THE THREE COMPANIES AND IS ROUGHLY $2731.80-----to pull up the tile and getthe floor to the original state before class a remodelers took possession. SO HERE I AM NOW,ALREADY SPENT OVER $3000 AND WILL NEED TO SPEND ALMOST ANOTHER $3000 TO GET THE floor backto it original condition-----THEN STILL HAVE TO PAY ANOTHER LABOR FEEAND BUY MORE SUPPLIES BEFORE THE FLOORING CAN BE PROPERLYPROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED ---- SO WE ARE LOOKING AT MORE MONEY--where is the justice in this---we are the customers (WE GO TO WORKEVERYDAY,PAY OUR BILLS,TAKE CARE OF OUR FAMILIES,MAKE DREAMS AND MAKE PLANS FOR OUR FURTURE) ---- who gives peoplelike this the right to destroy our homes and lives---they are PREDATORS. I LEARNED SOMETHING FROM THE LEGAL SYSTEM THATWILL MAKE YOU WONDER ABOUT OUT JUDICIAL SYSTEM: "the contract was for 900 square feet he only laid 643 squarefeet"---if I had of paid him all the money ---- I could of charged him for CONTRACTOR'S FRAUD immediately and he could of been arrested --but since I did not pay him all the money(who is going to pay someone to destroy or damage their home,,now really) he can walk away freely without any charges even though he destroyed and damaged my home------WHERE IS THE JUSTICE?-------my hope is to stop this from happening to someone else-thatis why I am speaking up now------THESE PREDATORS NEED TO BE STOPPED -------NOT LATER,BUT NOW!!!!!!!!!!! t
