Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Johnathan here is an itemized list of grievances with you and your poor workmanship(substandard workmanship). You quoted me a price of 900 square feet at $3.50 square foot which totals out to be $3150. I paid $ 1575 up front with the understanding the rest would be paid when the job was completed

1.) I recently had the square footage of the tile you laid remeasured which totaled to be 643 square feet, which means I overpaid “tile installation fee” of$899.50 . In addition to you over charging me for square footage you did not lay,you also overestimated extra supply fees and I have sixteen boxes of surplus tile which I took back for reimbursement of $297.67 leaving a balance of $ 1440.26 for supplies I bought from Lowes which Class A Remodelers is financially responsible due to the poor workmanship(substandard) requiring complete removal before professional flooring installation can be completed.

2.) MY UNDERSTANDING THIS IS CONTRACTOR FRAUD CHARGING FOR SOMETHING YOU DID NOT DO IS “FRAUD”

3.) Upon returning to check your progress multiple times, I noticed the lights were on and the air conditioner/air conditioners were running with settings varying from 64,68,70 on the dial—actually the windows in the house were frosted over it was so cold in the house. After discussion with SWEPCO,I have a statement for $159.13.According to SWEPCO,minimum charge is $20 and additional $20 allowance for service to operate the job—leaving balance of $119.13.I am not financially responsible for this balance since I left the house on 8/15/16 and returned on 9/21/16.I was not there to utilize the service. A 4-5 day project ended up as a 38-day project. The balance of the statement is the financial responsibility of Class A Remodelers who was utilizing the service and had temporary possession of my house.

4.) It was agreed throughout the planning phase of the project and even at the
signing of the contract, that heavy duty plastic would be hung between rooms to protect the integrity of the furniture, carpet and personal belongings----It was expressed repeatedly by the contractor and superintendent that ‘pulling up ceramic tile is a messy and dusty process’.I
was advised to leave house while process was being done---so left due to
recommendations to evacuate premises while work was being done.On
returning to check the progress of the job,no plastic was even on the premises. The interior of my home was covered(saturated) with the debris
from the tile removal. The surroundings appeared that someone ‘had dusted the house with baby powder(baby powder was the dust and debris
from tile removal). For instance when placing hand on couch and pulling up—a vivid, distinct handprint remained. This neglect also lead to the necessary professional cleaning of the comforter and pillows on my bed.
The carpet(besides the baby powder appearance) has dark, black stains from trafficing or simple dirty shoes. This exteme abuse is requiring a
professional cleaning service of $200. This expenditure is necessary to return it to its original condition before Class A Remodelers disrespected
its interior and the owners wishes.

5.) On returning back to my house,I found 4-5 clumps of concrete or mortar
(not sure what to call it) stuck to the floor of the composite granite sink in
my kitchen. Before this project, the drain was same color as sink and the
handles on the faucets(venetican bronze)---it is gold now,the finish is gone.
When the clumps were removed by the cleaning staff(provided by Class
A Remodelers) the finish came off where the clumps were. The cost of a
new sink and drain is $506. Had professional contractors evaluate the sink, found mortar or concrete in the drain—suggested pull drain and clean
the pipes. The cost for replacing the sink, drain and clean the pipes is $525.
Found dishes (plates, glasses, cups, utensils) in my dishwasher— it was full . When I left on 8/15/16 there were no dirty dishes---apparently the workers
from Class A Remodelers helped themselves to my personal possessions
“making themselves at home”. There were two heavy duty metal spoons with dried mortar or concrete in the dishwasher—apparently used to stir
the concrete/mortar mixture. Class A Remodelers not only damaged my
property but invaded my territory “went into my cabinets and used my
dishes”----my personal belongings.

6.) According to the contractor and superintendent, the job was to be a” 4-5
day project”.Left premises on 8/15/16 and returned on 9/21/16---I was out
of my residence for thirty-eight days. From 8/15/16-9/21/16 I spent $385.38 for gas.I was traveling an extra 1.5 hours a day to go to and from
work. I was filling my car up every 2.5-3 days. As a rule ,I usually only fill up car once a week. This extra driving put approximately 100 miles/day
on my car. So it is not only the gas expenditure but also the “wear and tear”
on the car. Filling up once a week at $20-25(depending on the price of
gas at the time) a fill-up times 5.5 weeks is roughly $130-140. This leaves
a balance of $245. I hold Class A Remodelers responsible for reimbursement of this due to ‘4-5 day’ project turning into a ’38 day’
project.

7.) With all the debris in the house----it definitely got into the circulation
and vents in the house----Need to change the filter in the air
conditioner ---- Cost is $80

8.)Received water bill—the usual water bill with owner living in the residence is $24-26----there were several times when checking on the
progress of the project, found water running in the toilet off from the
bathroom---owner bought three new floats---asked the workers to not
let water run or either turn off if it ran and did not cycle off---cost over $75.14

9.)Cost for demolition of the mislaid tile(substandard workmanship)to
Get it to the original state before Class A Remodelers entered the premises
Before the flooring can be professionaly,CORRECTLY installed is $2731.80"
