Claimant says:
"I refinanced my home through American Equity Mortgage and they told me in order to do that I would have to pay off all my credit card bills. So they called to ask Home Depot about the pay off early amount , so they settled for this amount $2,21200 and this was in February.

So American Equity sent me the amount to pay them off. so I did not hear anything from them until May stating that I am late for a payment plus late charges. so I sent another check for $127.26 which I really don't think I owe due to the settlement. They were calling my house every minute on the minute and until this day they still are calling me wanting more money and calling with harassing phone calls , and I have the call logs on my computer to prove it.

What I think is they are still trying to make me finish paying off the balance of the early pay off after accepting the $2,212.00 check that they recieved and my account was not in arrears, it was paid on time every month. The only reason that I sent that additional $127.26 was to keep them from calling with harassing phone calls.

I told to not call back here again and they agreed but the harassing calls haven't stopped; the calls go on all day long, and I hope that you all can stop this harassment and I would sure appreciate it very much."
