Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"'Cardholder Services' continues to call on a daily basis even though I'm on the Do Not Call List.

Representatives hang up if I question them about their location, business model, relationship with my credit card providers, relationship with 'debt management' companies etc. One told me that they're offshore and the feds "can't touch them."

Cardholder Services appears to be a robocalling operation that generates leads for various disreputable 'debt management' companies. The automated info and the representatives give the impression that they are somehow affiliated with my credit card provider but in fact are not.

The FTC has cracked down on a few companies (http://bucks.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/11/08/goodbye-to-rachel-from-cardholder-services/?_r=0) but this hasn't even put a dent in the number of calls I get.

Sometimes I amuse myself by seeing how long I can keep 'Cardholder Services' reps on the line and occasionally I've even had one give me a website to check out, which I've passed on to the FTC. However, according to the FTC the best thing is to hang up immediately and not even bother pressing '2' to stop further calls, as this just encourages them."
