Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"We bought a chair Jan 18 2012 from Ashley. We paid by debit. We were told we would have the chair in 2 weeks. We were called and picked up the chair Feb 2 2012. We had it home 2 hours and it stopped working. We phone Ashley and they said they knew exactly what was wrong and would send a servie man with the part. When the service man came Feb 8 2012 he said no one ever mentioned the part. If it was in stock we could reschedule a service appt. Ashley phoned and said it would be Sat (no guaranteed time) or next Wed. Feb 15. I told them that the sales they promised a special service as our son has a broken leg, twisted vertebre in the spine, and has been in the hospital 3 times in the last week. The customer service rep said that was not her problem and we had the chair over a day so we were stuck with it. I asked for special time on Sat as we could not be available after 2. They said we get 2PM becuase it was logistically set and take it or next week. We are almost a month without a chair. Our son had a recliner we got rid of to make room for this one. Everything was too bad and not their problem."
