Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"They came to install a new compressor at my Apartment. I paid $1400.00 for this compressor, and now the it is leaking water. The pipe that connected to the AC for the water to drain is broke. They claim that they did'nt break it. The only way they could find out if the AC was working was to go upstairs, and that is where the pipe is located. I is now leaking out and it need to be repair before it ruin my ceilng. Before they came to repair the AC there was not a problem with water leaking. They claim that some was coming out which has not happen. I can't run my AC because when I do it sweats and water start running from the ceiling. The claimant's settlement terms were rejected with the following explanation:

    "The repairs made were done in June of 2011, the customer contacted us about the pipe leaking in September of 2011 claiming we broke the pipe. The repair was done to the outdoor condensing unit. The pipe in question is located near the inside air handling unit which was not part of the repair made. Customer also states that when she runs her unit it "sweats" which is not an issue with a pipe being broken but with the unit sweating. We offered to have a technician take a look at her issue, unrelated to our repairs made in June, for a service fee and the customer refused to pay so we did not send a technician. "
